Soybean bids fall; corn bids mixed

Spot basis bids for soybeans fell at processors, interior elevators and river terminals around the U.S. Midwest on Thursday morning, grain dealers said.

* The cash basis for corn was mixed, falling at elevators and river terminals but rising at processors in the western half of the region.

* Processor bids for corn were flat east of the Mississippi River.

* Corn bids were mixed at ethanol plants.

* Fresh sales on the cash market were rare but growers have begun making deliveries of both commodities to fill previously booked contracts, dealers said.

* The country movement was expected to pick up as harvest expands in the coming days.
