Sweden's Forsmark 3 nuclear power reactor will shut down on Wednesday due to a problem with a valve, and is expected to be back online on Friday, its main owner Vattenfall said on Tuesday.
The problem was discovered during start-up from a maintenance stop.
"During the recovery to full power after the maintenance shutdown, a problem with a valve has been discovered that needs to be addressed," the state-owned utility said in a statement.
Forsmark 3 will begin ramping up production on Friday and expects to reach full capacity on Feb. 10.
The Forsmark nuclear station's other owners are Finland's Fortum and Germany's Uniper. Forsmark 3 has an installed electric power capacity of 1,172 megawatt (MW).
