Poland wants gold to constitute 30% of reserves, central bank chief says

Poland's central bank Governor Adam Glapinski plans to propose an increase in the target for gold as a percentage of reserves to 30% from 20% currently, he said on Thursday, adding that Poland currently has over 515 tons of gold.
The central bank has been systematically purchasing gold in a bid to boost the stability of its reserve asset portfolio, and in February 2024 announced that it wanted them to constitute 20% of reserves.
