US Stock Futures Waver Ahead of Jobs Report

Stock futures contracts tied to the three major indices fluctuated between small gains and losses on Friday, as investors seemed reluctant to make significant moves ahead of the release of the November federal jobs report.

The recent rally fueled by hopes that the Federal Reserve will slow the pace of interest rate hikes started to fade amid concerns that such tightening raises the odds of a recession.

The non-farm payrolls report will now provide investors with fresh clues about the health of the world's largest economy and the Fed's rate path.

On the corporate side, Marvell Technology tumbled more than 4% after the semiconductor company missed quarterly revenue and earnings estimates.

Conversely, UiPath skyrocketed 10% after posting results that surprised investors on the upside.

In regular trading on Thursday, the Dow and S&P 500 dropped 0.6% and 0.1%, respectively, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 0.1%.
