Vietnam Retail Sales Growth at 5-Month High

Retails sales in Vietnam increased by 9.3% year-on-year in December 2024 from 8.8% in the previous month.

This marked the 37th consecutive month of rising retail trade and the strongest since July, as sales increased at a faster pace for goods (9% vs 8.3% in November), accommodation & food services (13.1% vs 12.9%), and other services (7.9% vs 7.7%).

On the other hand, sales eased for tourism activity (9.9% vs 12.5%).

Considering the January to December of 2024, retail trade advanced by 9%.
