4H CCI Strategy 1.4

Australian Dollar/Canadian DollarFXCM

Description

Here's the last version...quick hack job.
I'm sure it can be improved, but this is a rough sketch, code wise.
The strategy works in range bound enviroments, so cointegrated pairs like AUDCAD will shine with it.

Cheers,

I use CCI 34 for trend direction and CCI 8 for timing the trade.
Up trend from the time CCI 34 becomes > +100 till it drops back till -100, the trend is up.
Dn trend from the time CCI 34 becomes < -100 till it rises up till +100, the trend is down.
Time the Buying when CCI 8 <-175
Time the Sell when CCI 8 > +175
Actual Method of Concurrence.
Buy when CCI 8 < -175 AND simultaneously CCI 34 has risen above +100 and yet to fall below -100
Sell when CCI 8 > +175 AND simultaneously CCI 34 has fallen below -100 and yet to rise above +100

this isn't for trend trading. It's meant for a sideways market.
SibGodiawala
Works for any markets. One cannot define that one is in sideways market till a channel is formed. As you get into a sideways market, price volatility and high low range reduces till the volatility is at the lowest followed with sudden momentum either in the same direction or otherwise. Same system makes you flow from sideways to trend momentum price action. If only you stick to the trend of CCI34 and trade only in the direction of CCI34 trend and intermittently get in and out with CCI8, the system works.

I don't trade based solely on indicators. But if it works for you, post charts with trade setups so everyone can see it in action.
How do you define entry and exit? And stop?
SibGodiawala
Ofcourse, no trading can solely be based on indicators.
It is based on OR Breakout, Fibo Channel Projections with use of CCI Indicator.
