BulletProof Trend Forecaster (2027 Update)

BulletProof Trend Forecaster is an adaptive trend-following system built around a ratcheting ATR trailing stop, refined with a multi-engine confluence score, trend-duration forecasting, and an integrated position-size calculator. Rather than a single moving average or fixed-distance stop, the core trailing logic adjusts its distance in real time based on market efficiency (trending vs. choppy), asset type, and recent volatility — so the same underlying stop behaves differently on a low-volatility index than it does on a fast-moving crypto pair.

How it works

• Adaptive ATR Trailing Stop — A ratcheting stop-and-reverse mechanism (inspired by the original UT Bot concept) that only tightens in the direction of the trend and flips the moment price crosses it. Distance is scaled by a Kaufman Efficiency Ratio, which widens the stop in choppy conditions to reduce whipsaws and tightens it in clean trends to keep signals timely — without ever blocking a genuine reversal.
• One-Click Trading Style Presets — Auto-detects Scalping, Day Trading, Swing, or Position sizing from your chart's timeframe, or set it manually. A separate Classic UT-Bot mode strips out every adaptive layer for a 1:1 comparison against the original formula.
• Confidence Score — Every Buy/Sell signal is scored 0–100 based on agreement across seven independent engines: the core trend direction, SuperTrend, structure breaks, ADX regime strength, multi-timeframe alignment, volume, and recent RSI divergence. The score is printed directly on the signal label and broken down in the on-chart table.
• Trend Duration Forecasting — Learns from your chart's own history of completed trends to project how much longer the current trend may run, shown as a fading probability cone with survival-percentage markers. Three modes (Simple, Standard, Advanced) trade off responsiveness for statistical depth.
• Stop Loss / Take Profit Engine — Seven SL calculation methods (ATR, %, tick-based, swing, scaled ATR, smart adaptive, or the widest of several combined), with TP1 / TP1.5 / TP2 / TP3 targets set as R-multiples of your risk. Lines freeze and mark ✅ on touch, and auto-limit to a configurable bar window to keep the chart clean.
• Position Size Calculator — Converts your account size and risk tolerance (% or fixed $) into a live share/contract count based on the current entry-to-stop distance, with multi-currency support.
• Status Table — A single at-a-glance dashboard covering active trading style, confidence score, adaptive multiplier, current signal state, win-rate statistics, multi-timeframe trend row, divergence status, and every active filter's pass/fail state.

Settings

• UT Bot Settings — Trading Style preset, manual Sensitivity/ATR, Classic mode toggle, label/line display options, status table position and size.
• Anti-Whipsaw (Regime) — Smart Chop Filter (efficiency-based stop widening) and an optional ADX regime gate with cooldown and confirmation-bar controls.
• Signal Filters — Optional confluence layers: high-volatility filter, swing structure filter, minimum % move filter, 2-bar confirmation, volume filter, RSI filter, Hull MA filter, SuperTrend filter, full-candle confirmation, and S/R zone clustering with an optional zone filter.
• Stop Loss / Take Profit — SL method and multiplier, TP levels and R-multiples, line display style and freeze-on-touch behavior.
• Adaptive Parameters — Asset type (auto-detected or manual) and adaptive mode (Fixed / Dynamic / Aggressive) controlling how sensitivity responds to volatility.
• MTF Confirmation — Higher-timeframe trend filter (auto or manual timeframe), stats lookback window, and optional standalone divergence labels.
• Risk Calculator — Account size, risk mode (% or fixed), account currency with live or manual exchange rates.
• Trend Prediction — Enable/disable, prediction mode, history sample size, and box/label display toggles.

Alerts

Three alert paths are available and all fire on confirmed bar close (in sync with the on-chart labels, so an alert never fires ahead of what you'd see on the chart):

• BP Trend Forecaster FLIP — fires on any signal flip, tagged with ticker/timeframe/close.
• BP Trend Forecaster - Buy/Sell Signal — selectable alertcondition entries for TradingView's alert dialog.
• Dynamic alert() calls that also work with "Any alert() function call," regardless of which alert type you set up.

All alert titles and messages are tagged "BP Trend Forecaster" so they're identifiable if you're running other BulletProof indicators in the same alert list.

Timeframe & usage notes

The Auto trading-style preset is tuned for 1–5m (Scalping), 15m–1h (Day Trading), 2h–D (Swing), and W+ (Position) charts, but every parameter can be set manually for other use cases. The adaptive engine adjusts to the detected asset type (crypto, forex, futures, stocks, etc.) automatically, or it can be set manually if auto-detection doesn't match your instrument.
