SMC Sequence Dashboard

The purpose of the script is to organize several related price-action and volume conditions into one sequential framework rather than displaying unrelated indicators independently. Each stage must occur in order, allowing the dashboard to show how far each selected symbol and timeframe has progressed through the defined structure.
SEQUENCE METHODOLOGY
S - Sweep
The sequence begins when the script detects its defined liquidity-sweep price-action condition around a confirmed swing low.
Swing lows are identified using confirmed pivot calculations. Because a pivot requires bars on both sides before it can be confirmed, the swing location is only known after the configured right-side confirmation period has completed.
When displayed historically, the S marker is positioned at the original pivot bar rather than the later bar on which the pivot became known.
For this reason, the historical location of an S marker should not be interpreted as meaning the signal was available in real time on that earlier bar.
The term liquidity sweep describes the price-action pattern used by the script. The indicator does not measure actual resting exchange liquidity or order-book liquidity.
E - Exhaustion / Rejection Condition
After S, the script looks for its E condition.
E is detected when either:
- Volume is greater than the 20-period volume average multiplied by the configured threshold.
- The lower wick is larger than the candle body according to the script's rejection condition.
This is a price-and-volume proxy for an exhaustion/rejection-style event. It does not measure actual aggressive buying/selling, bid/ask delta, order-book exhaustion, or institutional activity.
D - Displacement
After E, the script looks for a bullish displacement condition based on candle-body expansion and increased volume.
The stage is intended to identify a stronger directional response following the preceding sweep and rejection conditions.
C - Change of Character
After displacement, C represents the script's defined change-of-character condition.
It requires price to break the relevant stored structure level following the earlier stages.
H - Higher Low
After C, the script waits for a confirmed higher-low structure condition.
Like other pivot-based calculations, confirmation requires subsequent bars before the pivot is known.
Historical placement therefore represents the location of the confirmed structure point, not necessarily the exact bar on which that information became available in real time.
B - Break of Structure / Sequence Completion
B is the final stage.
It occurs when price satisfies the script's final bullish structure-break condition after S, E, D, C and H have already been completed in sequence.
A purple B state means that all six programmed stages have completed.
It does not mean that a future upward move is guaranteed.
SEQUENTIAL STATE LOGIC
The stages must occur in order:
S -> E -> D -> C -> H -> B
The script does not simply search for all six conditions independently.
Each stage becomes eligible only after the previous stage has been reached.
This allows the dashboard to distinguish between:
- An early developing sequence.
- An intermediate structure.
- A fully completed six-stage sequence.
Only one new sequence stage can advance for a requested timeframe bar.
If the programmed invalidation/reset conditions occur, the sequence can reset and begin searching for a new S stage.
MULTI-SYMBOL DASHBOARD
The dashboard can monitor up to six user-selected symbols simultaneously.
The default configuration is designed around cryptocurrency perpetual markets, but the symbols can be changed from the indicator settings.
Each row represents a selected symbol and each timeframe group displays the current S/E/D/C/H/B progression for that symbol.
The dashboard is intended to provide a compact overview of where multiple markets are currently positioned within the same six-stage methodology.
MULTI-TIMEFRAME ANALYSIS
Four independently monitored timeframe layers are available.
Depending on the selected preset or manual configuration, these can be used for different roles such as execution, confirmation, directional context or higher-timeframe structure.
For example, the Daily Bias preset uses:
- TF1: 1D
- TF2: 1W
- TF3: 1M
- TF4: 3M
Other presets use shorter combinations appropriate to intraday analysis.
The individual timeframe values can also be configured by the user.
REQUESTED-TIMEFRAME BEHAVIOUR
Multi-timeframe calculations use TradingView's standard request.security() functionality with lookahead disabled.
The script does not intentionally request future values.
However, when a requested timeframe candle is still open, its current price, volume and structure conditions can continue changing until that candle closes.
This means a developing stage can appear, disappear or change before the requested timeframe bar is confirmed.
After a chart reload, historical calculations use the final completed data available for those bars, so historical appearance can differ from what was temporarily visible while a requested timeframe candle was developing.
For users who want greater confirmation, completed-bar behaviour should be considered when interpreting developing stages.
LOWER-TIMEFRAME REQUESTS
When one of the selected dashboard timeframes is lower than the active chart timeframe, standard request.security() calculations may not evaluate every individual lower-timeframe candle.
For the most complete lower-timeframe sequence evaluation, use a chart timeframe equal to or lower than the fastest dashboard timeframe being monitored.
DASHBOARD COLOURS
The dashboard colours indicate progression through the programmed sequence.
They are visual state indicators only.
They do not represent probabilities, expected returns or guaranteed trade outcomes.
The colour progression distinguishes inactive, developing, structure-confirmed and completed sequence states.
Purple represents completion of the full six-stage sequence.
CHART VISUALS
The indicator can display sequence information directly on the chart, including stage labels and structure boxes.
Individual timeframe chart displays can be enabled or disabled from the settings so users can reduce visual clutter when multiple timeframe sequences overlap.
The dashboard itself can continue monitoring the configured timeframes even when some chart drawings are hidden.
Historical sequence drawings use stored structure times and prices so completed structures can be reconstructed visually.
Because some stages depend on pivots or later sequence confirmation, historical drawings can be positioned on earlier bars after the required confirmation becomes available.
A historical marker's position therefore does not necessarily mean that marker was already visible at that exact historical moment in real time.
COMPLETED-SEQUENCE DISPLAY
When completed-sequence-only visualization is enabled, the script can reconstruct the stored S/E/D/C/H/B structure after Step B has completed.
This is intended to make completed historical structures easier to review.
Because the entire structure is displayed after completion, earlier boxes or labels may appear retrospectively at their original stored locations.
This behaviour is visual reconstruction rather than future-data prediction.
MULTI-TIMEFRAME STEP-B CONFLUENCE
The indicator can identify situations where Step B completions from multiple monitored timeframes occur within the configured confluence window.
The confluence window is measured using active-chart bars.
This feature is designed to highlight temporal clustering between independently monitored timeframe sequences.
It does not imply that confluence guarantees a successful future price move.
ALERTS
The script provides alerts for sequence progression and selected confluence events.
Dynamic runtime alerts are limited to once per active chart bar to reduce repeated notifications from realtime recalculation.
This does not mean the requested higher-timeframe candle itself is necessarily closed.
If a monitored requested timeframe is still developing, its state can still change before that timeframe candle closes.
Users should therefore choose alert settings and monitored timeframes according to whether they prefer earlier developing information or greater confirmation.
HISTORICAL TARGET / STOP MEASUREMENTS
The optional Target / Stop table tracks simplified historical outcomes after a Step B sequence completes on the active chart symbol.
T represents measurements where the configured target level was reached before the configured stop level.
S represents measurements where the configured stop level was reached before the target.
The percentage displayed is the target-hit rate:
T / (T + S)
This should not be interpreted as a Strategy Tester win rate, expected future performance or a record of actual executed trades.
The reference price is the recorded sequence high when Step B is first observed.
Evaluation begins from the following active-chart bar. This prevents price movement occurring before the completed sequence was observed from being treated as a subsequent target or stop result.
Only one unresolved measurement is tracked for a timeframe at a time.
If another Step B occurs while an earlier measurement remains unresolved, the active measurement is not replaced by a new one.
If both the target and stop are reached during the same evaluated candle, the stop is counted first as a conservative assumption because standard candle data cannot establish the exact intrabar order of events.
An unresolved measurement remains active until either its configured target or stop is reached.
These measurements do not model:
- Commissions.
- Spread.
- Slippage.
- Funding.
- Liquidity.
- Position sizing.
- Partial exits.
- Trailing stops.
- Execution delays.
- Order rejection.
- Market impact.
- Exact intrabar price sequence.
The Target / Stop statistics table can be positioned independently from the indicator settings, including top, middle and bottom positions on the left, centre or right side of the chart.
If the active chart symbol is not one of the enabled monitored symbols, current-symbol Target / Stop statistics may not be available.
HOW TO USE
1. Select the symbols you want the dashboard to monitor.
2. Choose a timeframe preset or configure the four timeframe layers manually.
3. Use the dashboard to identify which markets have early, developing or completed sequences.
4. Use the chart drawings to inspect the underlying sequence structure.
5. Hide individual timeframe chart visuals when multiple structures create excessive chart clutter.
6. Use Step-B confluence as additional context when several monitored timeframe sequences complete within the configured window.
7. Use the historical Target / Stop measurements only as contextual information about how the programmed sequence behaved historically under the selected settings.
The indicator is designed as a market-structure analysis and scanning tool rather than an automated trading strategy.
ORIGINALITY AND IMPLEMENTATION
SMC Sequence Dashboard implements a custom sequential state model that combines price-action structure, pivot confirmation, volume conditions, multi-symbol scanning and multi-timeframe monitoring into one six-stage S/E/D/C/H/B workflow.
The individual concepts used by the script - such as pivots, volume expansion, displacement and structure breaks - are established forms of technical analysis.
The original implementation lies in how these conditions are defined, stored and required to occur sequentially, together with the multi-symbol/timeframe state dashboard, chart reconstruction, confluence detection, alerts and historical Target / Stop measurement system.
The source is closed because the sequence engine, state-management logic, dashboard implementation and supporting calculations form the proprietary implementation of the indicator.
REASON FOR SEPARATE PUBLICATION
This full version is maintained separately from the reduced Lite implementation because the scripts provide materially different functionality.
The full SMC Sequence Dashboard includes:
- Up to six monitored symbols.
- Four monitored timeframe layers.
- The complete six-stage S/E/D/C/H/B sequence.
- Higher-low Step H.
- Multi-timeframe chart structures.
- Completed historical structure visualization.
- Sequence alerts.
- Step-B confluence detection.
- Historical Target / Stop measurements.
- Configurable Target / Stop table positioning.
The reduced implementation uses fewer symbols and timeframes and a simplified sequence and feature set.
The separate publication therefore represents a functionally different implementation rather than a cosmetic or market-specific duplicate.
LIMITATIONS
The indicator should be interpreted with the following limitations:
- Pivot-based stages require future bars for confirmation and can therefore be plotted historically at a bar earlier than the confirmation bar.
- Requested-timeframe values can change while their candles remain open.
- Historical charts use completed historical data and can therefore look different from temporary realtime states seen before candle close.
- Lower-timeframe calculations requested from a higher-timeframe chart may not process every individual lower-timeframe candle.
- Liquidity-sweep terminology describes a price-action pattern and does not measure actual exchange order-book liquidity.
- Exhaustion/rejection conditions are derived from candle and volume information rather than direct order-flow data.
- Completed-sequence historical drawings may reconstruct earlier stages retrospectively after Step B becomes known.
- Multi-timeframe confluence is based on timing between programmed events and is not a prediction of future performance.
- Target / Stop statistics are simplified historical measurements and are not Strategy Tester results or executed trades.
- Historical performance does not predict future results.
SMC Sequence Dashboard is intended for technical analysis and research. It does not provide financial advice, guarantee future market direction, or automatically execute trades.
