Nexural Trend Finder

Nexural Trend Finder
Nexural Trend Finder is a fast trend-turn indicator built around a dual JMA structure, lower-timeframe participation scoring, and ATR-based volatility context.
This script is designed to show every turn in the JMA logic rather than only a small subset of filtered signals. If the second JMA is enabled, buy and sell markers print on each JMA cross. If the second JMA is turned off, signals print when the primary JMA trend state flips.
The lower histogram is not true bid/ask delta. It is an estimated participation model built from lower-timeframe signed volume, relative activity, and candle structure. It is there to help read whether a turn is happening with stronger or weaker participation, not to replace footprint data.
What it does
Plots a primary JMA and optional secondary JMA
Marks every bullish and bearish turn
Shows a participation histogram in the lower pane
Adds ATR-based volatility bands for context
Uses background tinting to show the current bullish or bearish regime
Includes a small dashboard for regime, participation, activity, volatility, trend score, and current signal
How to read it
JMAs
With 2 JMAs enabled, the signal arrows appear on each cross.
With 1 JMA mode, the signal arrows appear when the primary JMA state flips.
Histogram
Green bars suggest bullish participation.
Red bars suggest bearish participation.
Bigger bars suggest stronger participation relative to recent bars.
This is an estimate using lower-timeframe volume behavior, not exchange-level order flow.
ATR bands
Narrower bands generally mean quieter conditions.
Wider bands mean volatility is expanding.
They are there to give context to the histogram, not to act as standalone signals.
Background tint
Green tint = bullish regime
Red tint = bearish regime
Best use case
This indicator is best used as a trend-turn and participation context tool for intraday futures trading, especially on instruments like NQ and ES.
It is most useful when you want:
a fast visual read on trend shifts
every JMA turn printed on the chart
a quick sense of whether participation is building or fading
volatility context without opening a separate ATR pane
Honest limitations
This script is responsive, but that also means it can produce more turns in choppy conditions.
The histogram is not true delta in the order-flow sense. It is a practical TradingView approximation based on lower-timeframe volume behavior.
Signals are not filtered for quality in this version. This is intentional. Every turn is shown, so traders still need to judge context, regime, and participation.
Suggested NQ settings
For a faster intraday NQ setup, these settings are a good starting point:
Primary JMA Length: 7
Secondary JMA Length: 9
Show Second JMA: On
JMA Phase: 50
JMA Power: 0.45
Lower TF For Delta: 1 minute
Average Volume Length: 10
Activity Cap: 2
Participation Persistence: 2
ATR Length: 14
Trend Score Threshold: 0.03
Participation Threshold: 8
These settings make the script relatively quick and sensitive, which fits NQ well, but they will also show more turns during noisy sessions.
Practical way to use it
A realistic way to use Nexural Trend Finder is:
use the arrows to spot the turn
use the JMA structure to judge direction and momentum
use the histogram to see whether participation supports the move
use the ATR bands to judge whether volatility is expanding or dead
avoid taking every arrow blindly in low-volatility chop
Bottom line
Nexural Trend Finder is not trying to be a black-box signal generator. It is a fast visual tool for traders who want to see every JMA turn, with added participation and volatility context to help decide which turns matter more.
