MMM Nowcast Model v6

MMM Nowcast Model v6
What it does
The Nowcast Model is the regime engine for the suite. It takes the three dashboard nowcasts, smooths them, classifies the Growth/Inflation quadrant, overlays Liquidity as loose/tight/neutral, and produces a macro composite nowcast plus a z-like macro reading.
How it works
Growth, Inflation, and Liquidity nowcasts are each clamped to 0–100 and smoothed with an EMA. Regimes are classified around a 50 midline with a ±5 neutral band. Growth and Inflation define the quadrant: OVERHEAT, GOLDILOCKS, STAGFLATION, or CONTRACTION. Liquidity then adds the overlay: LOOSE, TIGHT, or NEUTRAL. The background color follows the quadrant map and the alpha (opacity) shifts with liquidity intensity, where looser liquidity conditions = a more solid background color, and vice-versa.
Default setup
Default smoothing should be 2 bars, month-end sampling. Default thresholds are 50 midline and 5-point buffered hold. Default macro composite weights are 0.33 Growth, 0.33 Inflation, and 0.34 Liquidity. The plotted outputs are the three component nowcasts plus the Macro Composite Nowcast.
How to use it
Use this as the main regime map for the suite. It is the simplest way to answer: what quadrant are we in, what is liquidity doing, and what is the weighted macro read right now? For most users, this is the cleanest top-down summary before drilling into the three underlying momentum dashboards.
Misc.
This script expects the hidden nowcast outputs from the three dashboards: GROW_NOWCAST_SOURCE, INFL_NOWCAST_SOURCE, and LIQ_NOWCAST_SOURCE. The background colors are standardized to the quadrant map: red for Overheat, green for Goldilocks, yellow for Stagflation, and blue for Contraction.
Enabling Buffered Hold will show identical regimes across both indicators.
Like the Regime Returns Matrix, I would opt for the following setup:
Midline: 50
Neutral Band: 5
EMA Smoothing: 2
Regime Sampling: Month-End
Anchor Symbol: SPY
Regime State Mode: Buffered Hold
This will ensure consistency across scripts.
