FVG Builder + Labels [v8]

This indicator automatically detects and plots Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) — three-candle price imbalances where a gap forms between the high of one candle and the low of a candle two bars later. Bullish and bearish gaps are drawn as colored boxes directly on the chart, extended forward until price returns to fill them.

HOW IT WORKS

A bullish FVG forms when the low of the current candle is above the high of the candle two bars back, leaving an unfilled gap in price.

A bearish FVG forms when the high of the current candle is below the low of the candle two bars back.

Each gap is filtered by a minimum size threshold (as a percentage of price) so only meaningful imbalances are shown, filtering out noise on lower timeframes.

SETTINGS

• Extend boxes right (bars) — how far each gap box projects forward before mitigation
• Max gaps to show — caps the number of gaps tracked at once to keep the chart clean
• Min gap size (%) — filters out small, insignificant gaps
• Show labels — toggles in-box text
• Auto-delete mitigated gaps — removes a gap once price trades back through it
• Bullish / Bearish colors — fully adjustable

ALERTS

Two alert conditions are included: one for new bullish FVG formation and one for new bearish FVG formation. Set alerts on "Any alert() function call" or select the specific condition you want to track.

This tool is for identifying price imbalance zones and does not generate buy/sell signals on its own. It is intended to be used alongside your own market structure, trend, and risk management analysis. As with any indicator, past gap-fill behavior does not guarantee future results.
