MMM Crypto Risk Score

MMM Crypto Risk Score
The MMM Crypto Risk Score is a TradingView risk model for tracking when crypto market conditions are weakening, improving, constructive or fully risk-on.
What it does
The indicator combines crypto market structure, crypto leadership and broader risk-asset inputs into a single 0–100 risk score.
It uses:
BTC momentum
OTHERS market-cap momentum
BTC dominance
USDT dominance
ETH/BTC and OTHERS/BTC leadership
Broader relative-strength inputs linked to macro/risk appetite
The goal is simple:
To show whether crypto risk appetite is expanding, fading or contracting.
Main score zones
Below 35: Risk-Off
35–50: Neutral / Weak
50–65: Constructive
Above 65: Full Risk-On
A high score does not mean price must rise immediately. It means the model sees broad crypto/risk conditions as supportive. A falling score means conditions are deteriorating.
Recommended setup
The model is built from daily data, with weekly held outputs for slower execution and source wiring.
Use:
Daily Raw Risk Score for fast tactical context
Daily EMA10 as the main smoothing line
Weekly Held Risk Score for slower execution decisions
Weekly 4W Delta to measure whether risk appetite is accelerating or fading
Leave:
Use completed prior day only: ON
This prevents the model from reacting to unfinished daily candles.
The indicator can be added to BTC, ETH, OTHERS, TOTAL, SPY or IWM charts, but its main role is to read crypto/risk appetite rather than the host asset itself.
Hidden exports for the Excess Liquidity Model:
The indicator exports the two hidden sources required by MMM Excess Liquidity Model v2:
MMM_CRYPTO_RISK_SCORE_WEEKLY_SOURCE
MMM_CRYPTO_RISK_DELTA_4W_WEEKLY_SOURCE
Add MMM Crypto Risk Score first, then add MMM Excess Liquidity Model v2 Advanced and wire these two sources into the Excess Liquidity script.
Best workflow
Read the Daily Raw Risk Score → compare it with EMA10 → check the Weekly Held Risk Score → check the Weekly 4W Delta → decide whether crypto risk appetite is improving, cooling or fully risk-on.
The strongest setup is not just a high score.
The best conditions are when:
The score is above 50 or 65
The weekly held score is improving
The 4-week delta is positive
Leadership and risk appetite are confirming
I would highly advise you export this data as a CSV and use AI tools to model out strategies - I am sure you will find significant value in this process.
FAQ
What is this for?
To track risk appetite in a cleaner, more systematic way than price alone.
What is the most important number?
The Weekly Held Risk Score is the best slower signal. The Daily Raw Score and EMA10 are useful for tactical context.
Why use completed prior-day data?
To avoid reacting to unfinished daily candles.
What does a score above 65 mean?
Crypto conditions are in the Full Risk-On zone.
What does a falling score above 50 mean?
The backdrop is still constructive, but momentum is weakening.
How does this connect to the Excess Liquidity Model?
The weekly risk score and 4-week delta are exported as hidden sources. The Excess Liquidity Model reads those sources to create BTC_REC, RISK_TURN, ALL4 and the optimal preset markers.
Can I trade from this alone?
It is strongest as a risk-regime filter, not a standalone buy/sell system. As mentioned above, it is advisable that you export all of the Crypto Risk Score data and use it to inform strategy development with the help of AI models.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is a risk-model framework. Use your own risk management.
