Position -/ lot size calculator - Sonarlab

U.S. Dollar/Japanese YenFXCM

Description

Calculating a lot size in MetaTrader is normally not a quick task, but it is a very important one.

MetaTrader doesn't offer a fast way to calculate the position size, so, usually, a trader needs to manually perform several calculations.

When you are submitting an order, you are already supposed to know and type in the lot size for the trade. It can be frustrating to calculate - that's why we made this tool to speed up the process a little. Now you can also see your P/L live and calculate the lot size within seconds straight from Tradingview.

Usage:
Step 1: Set your entry price
Step 2: Set your stop loss
Step 3: Set your Target
Step 4: Choose the symbol, forex will be automatically detected
Step 5: Fill in your balance and set your risk settings

Parameters
- Set symbol: Forex (auto detection), US100, US30, BTC, XAUUSD, NGAS, XBRUSD, XTIUSD, AUS200, US500

@Sonarlab, Hi When I click the indicator nothing shows on the left top corner like other indicators where you can change setting etc .Only box it shows bottom of the chart in like a blue box says open price .when i click the box nothing happen ?

nvm it's working
hayabusabird
@rahimself, I'm having the same issue. How did you get it installed?
rahimself
@hayabusabird, sorry for the late answer. ... so you just have to click into the chart 3 times to put down the value / lines for entry, stop and tp1 ... after you done that the first time you can just click on the box in the corner and change values to your needs. the next time you need the calc you can either re-add the indicator or me personally I just disabled 'labels' and 'lines' under style options and leave it on the chart the whole time. If I need it I just click the box and enter my values.
hayabusabird
@rahimself, no problem and thanks for responding. That helped explain it. I didn't realize that I actually had to click on the chart to start that function. I'm also using TradingView's native trade position tool and it seems to be working pretty good as well. Thanks again!

This is so nice. However, it could really use some improvement. Like, allow us to have the option to automatically set price to the current price. So that we don't have to keep dragging it. Another good thing would be option to specify RR, like maybe 1:2 or 1:3 or something else. So that when the line is automatically set to the current price, the stop and tp would also reflect.

Or the least you could add is to only show the line from current price forward, and not show the line backwards. It looks messy in the chart.

Anyway, I couldn't find a similar indicator to this and I really appreciate the effort you guys put to this.
