BulletProof SMA/EMA Cross (2027 Update)

33
BulletProof is a clean, precision-focused trend-following tool built around a classic SMA/EMA crossover — refined with two upgrades most basic cross indicators skip:

🔹 True Intersection Marking
Instead of snapping signals to a single bar's closing value, BulletProof mathematically interpolates the exact price where the SMA and EMA lines cross between candles. The result: a yellow X that lands precisely on the visual intersection, not just "somewhere near it."

🔹 Convergence Circles
Before a cross ever happens, price action often causes the two lines to tighten and hug each other — a classic early warning of an incoming trend shift. BulletProof plots small blue circles whenever the SMA/EMA gap narrows below a configurable threshold, giving you a heads-up before the actual cross confirms.

How it works:

  • Teal line = Simple Moving Average (default length: 10)
  • Orange line = Exponential Moving Average (default length: 10)
  • Blue circles = Lines are converging/tightening (early signal)
  • Yellow X = Confirmed crossover, plotted at the true intersection price
  • Shaded fill between the lines shows which is currently dominant at a glance

Inputs:

  • SMA Length (default 10)
  • EMA Length (default 10)
  • Convergence Sensitivity % (default 0.15) — controls how tight the lines must be before a blue circle appears

Alerts included:

  • Bullish Cross (EMA crosses above SMA)
  • Bearish Cross (EMA crosses below SMA)

Best used for:
Short-to-medium term trend confirmation, entry timing on pullbacks, and spotting potential reversals before they fully confirm via the convergence circles. Works on any timeframe or asset class — combine with volume or support/resistance for higher-confidence setups.

As with any indicator, BulletProof should be used alongside proper risk management and is not financial advice.
Release Notes
Changes:

SMA → red
EMA → green
Added a "Show Convergence Circles" toggle input, defaulted to false — the blue circles are now hidden unless the user turns them on in settings. Fill shading updated to match the new red/green scheme.
