Parabolic SAR can reverse often in choppy environments. Power PSAR will indicate only when there's sufficient slope that cuts through the prior PSAR trend lines.
Raw PSAR will have good AND bad signals if used directly to reverse positions. This filter recognizes high potential good signals using the power concept, thus allows you to ignore bad signals. I've used this successfully in trading systems
