Hancock - Filtered Volume OBV OSC [Strategy]

Bitcoin / U.S. dollarBitstamp

Description

Trading strategy based on Donchain channel price breakouts confirmed by an optionally configurable volume filtered OBV oscillator.

Colored diamonds on charts represent signals where top side is buy side and bot side is sell side - green indicates open and red indicates close.

Pretty simple but nicely demonstrates the volume filtered OBV oscillator found here.

Happy trading

@dpanday, Thanks! I've improved the default strategy parameters for bitstamp exhange. They may need tweaking for other exchanges though.

I didn't understand much. what does it mean when the green and red dots top and bottom represent? And what does it mean when the red/green dots are seen both top and bottom?

Nice strategy that looks very good in the backtest. I put it in a demo along with its indicator and set them both with the same input values to get the alerts (as the strategy alerts are not useful for my case). Once the first alert came in to open a long position, the indicator kept generating alerts every 15 min which is my timeframe (the alerts are setup to be ONCE PER BAR CLOSE). I was expecting the entering alert only once until the close position alert would appear which was not the case. @ahancock please kindly confirm how to circunvent this? Many thanks in advance!

Looking great. Does trail stop threshold mean at what price (in percentage) trailing starts?
ahancock
@robertocrypto, That's correct
