AHBM holds a concentrated portfolio of 10 Asian companies considered leaders across the memory semiconductor value chain. The passively managed fund gains exposure through direct equity investments, swap agreements, and deep in-the-money call options. The fund targets companies under AICS Memory-Eligible sector groupings whose economic value is anchored to the memory semiconductor value chain, covering DRAM, NAND flash, NOR flash, HBM devices, and related equipment, materials, and test components. Using a rules-based, multi-criteria ranking framework, companies are evaluated on five factors: Memory Production Identity, Memory Production Typology, HBM Value-Chain Position, Memory Process Role, and Memory Chip Product Source. Each factor is scored and combined through a waterfall ranking process. The 10 highest-ranked companies are selected and weighted by a blend of market capitalization and ranking-based scores, subject to caps. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly.
