CLNR tracks an index of companies that support the integration of environmentally efficient technologies in transportation. The indexs initial universe consists of global companies engaged in renewable energy production, sustainable mining for battery resources, vehicle production and sustainable transportation infrastructure. Developed and emerging market-specific screens are applied to exclude companies that do not meet the indexs ESG criteria. Each company is assessed using a thematic score based on three factors: revenue generated tied to the investment theme, material relevance to efficient transportation, and the companys impact on the environment. The top 80 scoring companies are selected for inclusion to the index and weighted by market-cap, with a 3% cap. Rebalancing is done quarterly.
