GFOF is the first ETF by Grayscale Investments. The fund tracks an index of global stocks that provide exposure to the theme Future of Finance or the digital economy. Companies involved in digital transactions, applications, and infrastructure around the digital asset ecosystem are classified under three categories: Financial Foundations, Technology Solutions, and Digital Asset Infrastructure. The multi-step selection process starts by scraping publicly available documents for key terms related to future of finance companies. Stocks are further screened by comparing their daily price changes compared to the group average. Qualified stocks are then assigned Revenue, Theme, and Regulatory scores reflecting each companys relevance, involvement, and risks to the Future of Finance theme. Stocks with adequate scores that meet capital and liquidity requirements are selected. GFOF does not directly invest in digital assets. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly.
