In general, HYS and the index have a shorter duration and lower yield to maturity than some funds in the space. The underlying index is market-value-weighted, with a cap of 2% per single issuer. HYS uses a sampling method and seeks to invest only in a subset of securities with the same risk and return characteristics as the index. Rebalancing is done monthly.
