IVEG tracks an index of companies that are expected to benefit from the integration of new agricultural technologies or innovative food products or services. The eligible universe is filtered using fundamental research, which evaluates each companys five-year net profit, and creates revenue projections in relation to four sub-themes: agriculture technology, alternative proteins, nutritional innovation and safety, and sustainable food production and packaging. Each eligible company is then given an exposure score and designation as either Tier 1 or Tier 2. Tier 1 companies are mainly suppliers or producers from this theme, and those that have multiple exposure to more than one sub-theme. Tier 2 companies include those that have some exposure to the sub-themes. All Tier 1 constituents are selected for the index, and if less than 50 constituents are chosen, the shortfall is filled with Tier 2 constituents. Weighting is based on free-float market-cap, with a cap of 4% per issuer
