GENZ basically relaunched on April 9, 2026, to expand the exposure beyond gaming platforms. GENZ tracks an index that aims to capture three distinct segments: digital sports betting and gambling, gig economy and online forums, and millennial finance. The digital native economy in the fund name refers to the companies whose primary customers are individuals who have grown up entirely online and have never banked at a branch, hailed a physical cab, or placed a bet in person. More broadly this group is referred to as Gen Z and millennials. They are individuals considered native to the concepts of digital. The ETF aims to hold a narrow basket of companies positioned to benefit from this generational change in consumer spending preferences. Stocks selected for the index must generate half of their revenue from one of the three segments and meet minimum market-cap, liquidity, and trading volume criteria. Note: Prior to Sept. 24 2012, BJK traded as Market Vectors Gaming ETF and tracked S-Network Global Gaming Index. Prior to April 9, 2026 the fund focused exclusively on gaming stocks, traded under the ticker BJK, and fund name was VanEck Gaming ETF.
