IQQ a change in index licensing and marketing agreements opened the door for this ETF to come to market. This ETF tracks the Nasdaq-100 index and aims to compete with one of the most established and actively traded ETFs in the world. IQQ invests in the nonfinancial stocks listed on NASDAQ, and effectively ignores other sectors too, causing it to skew massively away from a broad-based large-cap portfolio. The result is heavy growth and technology exposure. The indexs weighting further distance it from anything close to plain vanilla large-cap or pure-play tech coverage. The exposure is concentrated in its top holdings and is more volatile than our vanilla large-cap benchmark. The fund and index are rebalanced quarterly and reconstituted annually.
