QQEW is a passively managed fund that provides exposure to 50 companies from the NASDAQ-100 index identified to have strongest quality and growth characteristics. From the index universe, the fund considers common stocks and depositary receipts that meet eligibility and liquidity criteria. The fund calculates Growth and Quality scores for each company. The Growth Score is the average of three normalized annualized growth rates over three years: revenue, forward earnings per share estimates, and free cash flow. The Quality Score is the average of their normalized return on equity and profit margin. The top 50 companies with the highest blended scores are selected. The index is rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly, assigning equal weight for each security. Prior to Dec. 22, 2025, the fund was called First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Fund that tracked the Nasdaq-100 Equal Weighted Index.
