It operates through the following business divisions: Electrical Equipment for Cars, Home Electronics, Telecommunications equipment and Control Equipment. The Electrical Equipment for Cars division manufactures and sells vehicle various types of ECU (Electronic Control Units), air conditioner panels, corner sensor units, switch sensors for cars, wire harnesses for cars and ships. The Home Electronics division manufactures electronic control boards for washing machines, dish washers, and dryers. The Telecommunications Equipment division manufactures communication units, circuit boards for security cameras and compact projectors. The Control Equipment division provides controllers for industrial robots and control units for surface mounters. The company was founded by Kenyu Asamoto on May 10, 1963 and is headquartered in Hamamatsu, Japan.
