... for a 1.90 debit. Comments: Taking a smidge of risk/long delta off here. Filled for a 3.00 credit (See Post Below); closing out here with 15 days to go. (3.00-1.90)/2 = .55/$55 profit. Still have the June 3rd 2900, June 10th 2800, and June 17th 2500's on.
Although you can effectively model the P&L of 30 days 'til expiry at-the-money short puts, it's difficult to model "the other stuff" a trader would typically do with a short put that is in the money toward expiry (i.e., take assignment, roll out "as is," roll out for strike improvement, etc.). (At least, I don't have access to that kind of model or can't easily...
... for a 3.25 credit. Comments: Another dorky, way out of the money, small engagement trade while I wait on June opex setups. As previously noted, this routes for a 3.25 credit, but max profit is only half that or 1.625 ($162.50).
... for a 2.45 credit. Comments: My weekly broad market short put in the exchange-traded fund with the highest 30-day, targeting the <16 strike paying at least 1% of the strike price in credit in the expiry nearest 45 days until expiry.
... for a 1.72 credit. Comments: Inverting here. Total credits collected of 7.33 on a 5-wide inversion (71C/76P). The best outcome for this would be a finish between 71 and 76, but the most I can hope to make on it would be the total credits collected of 7.33 minus the width of the inversion (5.00) or 2.33.
... for a 4.80 credit. Comments: Rolling untested side of my short strangle in. Total credits collected of 12.33.
... for a 41.50 credit. Comments: I don't think this is coming back into the setup by expiry (but I will scream if it does). Filled for 4.40, out here for 41.50, a 37.10 loser.
... for a 3.62 credit. Comments: Rolling down and out ... . Total credits collected of 7.75 (See Post Below) plus the 3.62 here for a total of 11.37.
... for a 2.90 credit. Comments: Staying mechanical and rolling down and out for a credit. Total credits collected of 5.48 (See Post Below) plus the 2.90 here for a total of 8.38.
... for a 1.86 credit. Comments: Not getting much strike improvement here, but collected 1% of the strike price in credit. Total credits collected of 1.90 (See Post Below) plus the 1.86 here, for a total of 3.76.
... for a .48/contract credit. Comments: High IV with 30-day at 71%. Unfortunately, I don't get any relief on margin for this particularly underlying, so am buying a cheap long put to bring in buying power effect from 17.46 for the naked 18 to 6.54 for the spread. Paying .07 for the long to bring buying power effect in by >60%. ROC 7.3% at max as a function...
... for a 5.55 credit. Comments: High IVR/high IV (80/46). Selling the 15 delta strikes on both sides. 5.55 credit on buying power effect of 23.58; 23.5% ROC as a function of buying power effect at max; 11.8% ROC at 50% max. As usual, will look to take profit at 50% max and/or manage sides on approaching worthless/side test.
... for a .71/contract credit. Comments: Taking a directional shot on weakness here and in high IVR/IV (92/46). .71/contract credit on buying power effect of 2.71; 26.2% ROC as a function of buying power effect at max; 13.1% at 50% max.
... for a 2.00 credit. Comments: High IVR/IV at 91/52. Selling the 16 delta strikes on both sides. Will look to take profit at 50% max; manage sides on approaching worthless/side test. 2.00 credit on buying power effect of 7.10; 28.2% ROC as a function of buying power effect; 14.1% at 50% max.
... for a 3.35 credit. Comments: Weak ... nessssss. Targeting the strike paying around 3.00 in credit (1.50/$150) max. 1.50 max on BPE of 16.53; 9.1% ROC as a function of buying power effect at max profit; 4.5% at 50% max.
... for a 2.26 credit. Comments: My weekly, broad market short put in the exchange-traded-fund with the highest 30 day IV, targeting the 45 DTE <16 delta strike paying around 1% of the strike price in credit.
... for a 2.17 credit. Comments: Rolling the untested side in. Total credits collected of 3.44 (See Post Below) plus the 2.17 here for a total of 5.61.
... for a 3.85 credit. Comments: Total credits collected of 3.28 (See Post Below) plus the 3.85 here for a total of 7.13. Wasn't able to both improve the strike a ton here and receive a credit >1% of the strike price, but you do what you can do.
