Asset Markets: paper vs gold vs real estate

Comparison of three asset markets post-1980 deregulation -> development of bubble cycle structure in 1980s with money flowing first into stocks (candles) then housing then gold then back into stocks () then housing (orange) ... still watching the gold (green) rise at the moment... personally I'm not convinced because none of this is genuine. It's just money cycling round and round. Professional trading. Art for art's sake if you like. We have metropolitan housing markets that are as big their country's entire GDP... and isn't gold supposed to be a hedge against inflation? Well we haven't has any since 1980! None of this is real in any sense. Stocks, real estate, gold. These are all massive bubbles and as you can see they look to be converging. The only question is when.

And the best real investment in this period? Stocks, without a doubt. Here is a percentage chart

In the pane below is US interest rate (purple) and US inflation (turquoise). As you can see inflation is dead meaning economic growth is dead. However are interest rates actually rising since 2014? Maybe Trump got a point after all. Look at the rate: the first two bubble kill-offs are preceded by a rate hike....
