SPY Another US Wave of Covid is Here

Short
AMEX:SPY   SPDR S&P 500 ETF TRUST
The Covid cases chart on the bottom is from the Johns Hopkins website. Tradingview doesn't show Covid data past the 27th of November for some reason. The data from Johns Hopkins which includes today shows that we're clearly in the beginning of a new wave, unfortunately. The wave is starting from the highest low of all the waves by a significant margin and appears comparable in acceleration to the two worst waves.
The previous wave over the summer led to selling and this one which will include the Delta and Omicron variants over the winter cold/flu season will likely lead to additional selling as well.
Google data ends on the 30th of November for some reason. I'm really not sure what's going on with the data, whether it's being partially withheld, or why the moving average appears as noisy as it does. We'll have a better idea next week but as of right now the situation doesn't look promising unless the Omicron variant takes over and turns out to indeed be mild compared to previous variants as some indications* suggest.

*Lack of any Omicron deaths reported according to the WHO, South African doctor who said all his cases treated were mild
