A few pundits claim now is a good time to buy XRP because it has a chance of being adopted by the banking system as a replacement to Swift. <yawn>
But when I look at the XRPBTC ratio, I can confidently put XRP on my ignore list until it shows some strength (or grows some <bleep>). Why would I put money into XRP when BTC is beating it senseless? This ratio is down 75% since December. This reminds me of the times when Wile E. Coyote runs off a cliff and grabs an anvil for support. Only XRP supporters think he is not going to fall and believe with all their heart that he will somehow defy gravity and be saved. <Spoiler Alert> Wile E. Coyote always falls off the cliff, plummets 1000' to the ground and gets hit in the head with the falling anvil. Even cartoonists know this; at least the ones that don't own XRP. :-)
But if this XRPBTC ratio keeps dropping it may reach its yearly low of 0.00001373 and we may get a good bounce from that. Then and only then I would be a short term buyer of XRPBTC. And if I ever get an opportunity to hold XRPBTC, I would always be looking up, keeping an eye out for that anvil, which is something all XRP holders should be doing! ROFL
