Why do I receive a “non-tradable” symbol notification?
1. Synthetic symbols calculated by TradingView are non-tradable via Paper Trading. These tickers have a purple label next to the market status.

2. Also, a non-tradable symbol notification appears on indices, as these symbols are not supported for trading in general, for example NASDAQ:NDX.
However, it is possible to select CFD on index and place orders there. CFDs are updated in real-time and free by default. The symbol type can be checked in the symbol search, next to the data feed name.

3. Symbols listed on the Indian exchanges are not supported on Paper Trading. Using these symbols for simulation trading contradicts the NSE Data Sharing & Usage Policy.

The Market Data shall not be provided to individuals/entities engaging in gaming, virtual trading, an activity of similar nature or any other activity which shall be prohibited by the applicable laws or regulator or any government/judicial authority as the case maybe."
Kindly note that this restriction is applicable to Paper Trading only and does not impact integration with Indian brokers that support Live trading on these symbols.
