THE REAL APOCALYPSE YOU HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD ABOUT|CHINA|

I am not surprised that the western media is covering up for the CCP, as they have been on the payroll in one way or another for some time+the corona scare and the coming elections take all the attention right now.

But, as the coronavirus has shown yet again, the west does exist in the vacuum and the new apocalypse might come from China, again.

The story begins with the floods that hit China hard this year, destroying tens of billions in property, affecting tens of millions of people, jeopardizing food storages, farms, factories and cities, including one of the largest cities in the world, that you most likely haven't even heard off, called Chóngqìng.
A city with the population of more than 30 million people that sits right in the middle of China.

Now, the floods, though devastating on their own, pale in comparison with the subject of this article: The Three Gorges Dam.
In short, it is the largest dam and hydro power plant in the world that sits on the Yangtze river, and was built in an attempt to tame the floods and to control the water supply downstream, in case of drought. It is speculated that ancient China itself, as the great civilization, emerged from the need to control the rivers, that lead to the need of the strong central power, to organize the labour of large numbers of people, and that the king that was the first to build the chain of dams became the first Emperor of China.

Anyhow, the floods were so bad this year, that this and all other dams had to open their flood gates to help ease the water pressure on the structures, and yet the water levels were still rising and surpassed the critical levels around 2 weeks ago. The CCP says that the dam structures are intact and that the water level is receding, yet we've all learned the hard way that the Chinese government can't be trusted and that if they say everything is OK, then it most likely a coverup attempt and the exact reverse opposite is the case. Anyway, the possibility of the dam collapsing is there, and IF that happens, the true apocalypse will come, and not to China only.

There are 400 million people living downstream the Three Gorges Dam, and these lands are the breadbasket and the manufacturing hub of China.
Should these people and cities get washed away, 25% of the global manufacturing gets washed away too, in an instant.

If that happens the supply chains will break and the whole worlds economy, already stressed by the coronavirus lockdowns will be in agony. The prices will rise, many goods will disappear from the market completely, as some of them are produced almost exclusively in China.

The food prices will rise, and the safe haven assets will surge. The U.S. Dollar, Gold,Yen, etc will go up. Bitcoin will go up too, as, firstly, the supply of Bitcoins that are produced on the massive farms in China will be gone, and I suspect desperate Chinese people will be trying to get their money out of China by all the means possible, even though the Bitcoin is banned there. We will see the central banks showering even more money onto the markets to tap the holes, but that will hardly give any relief as with the Chinese goods supply gone, that will simply drive up the inflation, that will be reflected in the bitcoin price too.

I hope this does not happen, but knowing the quality of the infrastructure works in China, and the corruption that surrounds all these mega projects, I can't dismiss it as a present risk. A great hedge would be to go long on the far away call DXY options expiring in the end of September. If the dam does not collapse before the end of September it will be ok, so there is not point in hedging any further ahead.
