Capitalism is collapsing and it was about time

Dow Jones Industrial Average IndexTVC

Description

Capitalism has entered the late capitalism stage and here is a perfect recent example:
"KLM CEO asks for 10 billion euro's from the government, then asks for a 100% bonus rate."
Are you serious? This is absurd. KLM is an airline company if you didn't know. They are not making any many at the moment.

Capitalism has already started to die off and it won't survive the 2020s great depression and complete economic collapse.
It is frustrating to see that most of the population is either pro capitalist or pro socialism.
Ye let's go for old garbage systems that never worked, absolute genius.

At least capitalism is better than socialism because people don't literally starve to death, and people don't get their head chopped off.

The past 200 years are filled with stories of government enforced monopolies.
But even without those, big corporations enjoy huge advantages no one can compete with: insanely high taxes are one. Armies of lawyer and lobbies are another.

In the wonderful state of California big restaurant chains have lobbied the corrupt capitalist-socialist government to run food trucks out of business "to protect consumer health we need brick and mortal professional kitchens" - that but trailer parks are good to go, and I didn't even mention the cesspool of feces needles and medieval diseases that are their homeless infested streets.
In California the socialist-capitalist system protects big corporations and guarentees people are subservient wageslaves: the corrupt government has passed a bill dictating FREElancers be hired as employees - an euphemism for "obedient wageslaves".
“It makes sure that the 1 million independent contractors in California get the wages and benefits that they deserve,” says the law’s author, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez. HAHAHAHAHA 🤣!
How about the fact that freelancers are against it?

They have been crushed.
cnbc.com/2019/12/11/californias-new-employment-law-is-starting-to-crush-freelancers.html

"According to Upwork’s 2019 Freelancing in America survey, there is a reported 57 million American freelancers contributing an excess of $1 trillion to the economy each year."

Now every one can't run a business.
But imagine the uber shift if rather than all being owned and everything being dictated by 0.01% of the population, it would be shared by 10%?!

And rather than almost the entire population being wageslaves, there are a great number of freelancers, and franchised.
And people have way more different businesses to choose from, and when they help out smaller businesses they are way more involved as opposed to be treated as cattle. They could even be invited to own a part of the business even if they cannot run one all by themselves.

The dismantlement of the capitalist paradigm has already begun: people are sick of big corporations telling them what they are allowed to think.
The revolution has started. Everyone is connected and can think for themselves (the majority).
Central authorities are getting harsher and harsher, like a rhino covered in lionesses surging up and roaring in a last breath before its death.

That's it for my idea on economic systems and the abandonment of capitalism.

But what are we going to do with all these mouths to feed?

AAPL, ORCL Berkshire and others will NOT survive much after their "empire builder" leaders are dead and gone. Rome rose until only the politicians were left at the helm. We know what happened then. The same is happening in all the big companies NOT run by enigmatic, visionary leaders that started them. We are left with are looters - CEOs, Board and others are all in it together trying to milk the last cent out of businesses they are charged with. I don't remember any period in history where "managers" working on a salary and bonus ran so many companies. Capitalism was a family affair with a lot more involved than just money. There were titles, pride and incest. Today, anyone with a business degree and ability to suck whatever it takes can get up the corporate chain regardless of whether he/she has the business acumen of a genuine businessman.

@frodo75, I wonder how long BRK will last after Warren is gone. He said he would give all he has to charity. Ye the pyramid scheme is over. Hey in 2019 a record number of CEO quit, maybe they decided to run away before the heads start rolling? Alot will change but what? People really don't know much on the subject it's all stereotypes and emotions. Do people even realize that governments often grant and enforce monopolies?
(Drug) patents, copyrights, trademarks, casinos, direct laws (from wikipedia: Digital Millennium Copyright Act forces people to use proprietary Macrovision copy prevention technology for analog video recorders)...
Were politicians protecting the drug patent business when they locked us all up and let 200,000 die and fought experts that had a cure?

What is collapsing is speculative economies, where a large percentage of labor and capital is invested in speculating the price and trading assets, financial instruments, and commodities. It tries to produce something out of nothing.
MrRenev
@nagihatoum, This makes absolutely no sense. Also, you contradict yourself in the same sentence.
"labor and capital is invested in speculating" "tries to produce something out of nothing."
Unless you mean speculating is something and labor is nothing.
nagihatoum
@MrRenev, In a speculative economy, all of the labor and wealth is geared to increase the price of a financial instrument solely. For example a companies aims to increase the prices of their stocks, by improving fundamentals most importantly profit, but they can also increase the price of their stocks by dubious means, like enron cooking its books or in case of the federal reserve printing money to increase the price of stocks to "save the economy". At the end everybody is wasting labor and capital chasing numbers that can be manipulated.
MrRenev
@nagihatoum, Speculating either means to "spectate" events and form an opinion on future events/price fluctuation, or to take risk investing in business to make profit.
Commies were and are so dumb they forgot risk existed. Absract reasoning is non existant. Of course no one will take risk if it is not rewarded losses are for you gains are for them.
If you mean speculating as in risking to start or invest in a business then all economies are speculative. Even ant, bee, lion economies.
Shouldn't use vague random stereotypes. I would call this a corporate capitalist & socialist banking economy. I find it way more accurate. Sure might be harder to explain to people but it is more correct.
nagihatoum
@MrRenev, speculative economies collapse and are replaced by communism because capitalism would be blamed for the collapse. Speculating is trying to make money from the price movement of a financial asset.
MrRenev
@nagihatoum, I certainly hope not. I know people look for simple solutions and turn to the sociopaths giving them those. Hopefully they manage to understand at least 10%.
If Hitler gets elected and his power starts growing np I'll be on the first plane out of here. Nowadays bad decisions get spotted quite quickly, so there is hope.
When I see certain really dumb creatures I worry (AOC), but they're the minority.
