Boost Your Trading Game With Bollinger BandsIf you understand the market environment, you'll be a better trader. I've been using Bollinger Bands to identify the market environment for over 20 years. In today's video, I'll explain how to use them to identify a two-way tape, when a market will keep trending, and when it will revert back to the trend.
Bollinger Bands: Investment Guide 📊🚀📉 The Basics: Bollinger Bands consist of three lines – the middle line is the simple moving average (SMA), while the upper and lower bands are set at a certain standard deviation from the SMA. They act as dynamic support and resistance levels.
🌟 Long-Term Perspective: Bollinger Bands are highly versatile and well-suited for long-term investors. They provide valuable insights into Bitcoin's price volatility over time.
💡 The Buy Signal: One effective strategy for long-term investors is to consider buying Bitcoin when it retests the lower Bollinger Band. This can indicate that the asset is undervalued, and it may be a good entry point for a long-term position.
🔍 Risk Management: While Bollinger Bands are powerful tools, always complement them with risk management strategies. Diversify your portfolio, set stop-loss orders, and conduct thorough research.
🔮 The Future of Bitcoin: Bollinger Bands are just one tool in your investment toolkit. They can help you make informed decisions in the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies, but remember that no signal is foolproof.
In conclusion, Bollinger Bands offer a valuable perspective for long-term Bitcoin investors. Using them to identify buy signals during lower boundary retests can be a smart strategy. Combine this with proper risk management for a well-rounded approach to investing.
Stay analytical, stay patient, and remember – in the world of crypto, a long-term vision can be your greatest asset! 🌐💰

LNWY- a fintech company announces stock repurchase LONGLendway had a big start to the week with the after-effects of the repurchase
program driving stock price higher. On the 15-minute chart- the abrupt change
in momentum from a peak on Friday at the lunch hour into a low in the pre-market
on Monday with a V-shaped move down and up again and then a monster move
from there and a fade after that. LNWY seems to have moved into a parallel channel
with a trend slope/ angle of about 25% the ZL MACD shows a line cross under the histogram
which went red to green. I will take a long trade here. the stop loss is under the new
trend line at 4.45 while the final target is at the top of the upper resistance trend line at
7.25. An initial target is set about halfway in between them at 6.00 This is a stock with
high current volatility given the intention to buy back 400.000 shares in a relatively low float
environment. ( www.stocktitan.net ) I anticipate high profile
with a relatively low risk. There are no options available to either hedge or amplify risk.
IGMS a cash burning biotechnology stock SHORTIGMS is down about 70% YTD with no end is sight as the cash burn is greater than
the analyst's estimates. On the 2H chart, the midline of the Bollinger Bands has had
a persistent negative slope. Overall, IGMS is very shortable if shares can be found at
a low cost. I will watch for a correction of the upgoing price toward the middle of the Bollinger
Bands especially on a lower time frame such as 30-60 minutes and then target the bottom
of the Bollinger Bands on the daily chart for an estimated 25-30% profit. The entry would be at
the confluence of the POC line and then BB midline as a bounce down from that resistance.
This will be a great trade if S & P / SPY makes a deeper correction than already seen. There
was an opportunity one week ago and I think it will come again.
AAPL Weekly Continues to March LONGAAPL on the weekly chart over the entirety of the years 2022-23 with a triple
Bollinger Band overlaid shows consistent marching along the second upper Bollinger
band ( 1.618 std) since mid January 2023 with a minor correction while crossing over
the basis midline band a month later. This is megacap consistence at its finest.
AAPL has had some inside bar weeks on a regular basis but follows with some ranging bars
as well. The dual time frame RS indicator shows the lower TF green line and higer TF
black line well align in the area of the 70 level slowly ascending overall.
AAPL is a titan of the NASDAQ with a healthy ecology of well liked products. I see it
as a lucrative investment or trader of dips and pops on a lower time frame. My choice
at this time is a call option striking a higher price of $205 expiring in mid-November.
SOFI Swing Trade RecapSOFI as a fin tech company has been volatile. Besides the issues of student loan
forgiveness, the federal adjustments of the intrabank overnight rates and inflation
inparting the budgets of its customers, the landscape has landmines and its litterd
with signs of fiscal damage. Knowing it had upcoming earnings and perhaps some
greed competing against fear with traders. I took a trade and the closed it on
earnings. Here are the particulars.
!. the 30 minute bare chart is overlaid with a double set of Bollinger Bands. The settings are
not the default. If you want them, like the idea and then ask. A linear regression line with a
period of 28 is added. The volume is underneath. Finally a MACD indicator in a lower pane.
2. For the entry, on July 27, late in the session, price fell outside the lower bands and then
came back inside them after printing a red Doji bar and a little surge of selling volume
above the running mean. There it was a simple easy entry. Price crosses over the
regression line. MACD lines crossed under the histogram.
3. The swing trade progressed and price action progressed. On the mornings of the report
release traders were freaked out. Was the beat good enough ? Volatity was over the top.
after a bit of a drop, volume came into the trade in a big way and price followed the lead of
volume ( serious money flow). Price shot higher and got beyond those BB upper bands with
hugh volatility topping wicks. Once price got back inside the bands I exited.
4. This trade yielded more than 25% in 3 day pretty good for just a little effort. Of course stop
loss was moved every time a 2% rise occurred the stop loss was moved up 2.2% getting closer
and closer to price gradually.
5. Price dropped into a full pullback within a couple of hours. I would have liked to play
the downside but I was overextended on the number of trades I was managing.
6. As an afterthought, price is now doing what is called a lower bollinger band walk,
That is to say, it is increasingly at risk to reverse and start uptrending. Price is under the
middle BB and a little under the mean VWAP. It is begging to reverse. I am waiting for
an entry on that and the wait will not be long.
( By the way a certain someone, you are a smart trader and you will most certainly know
I uploaded this idea for you).
GBPJPY Pair: Anticipating Bullish Breakout in the OffingOptimistic indicators have recently graced the GBPJPY forex pair. Analyzing the daily charts, a bullish momentum is clearly reinstated, with two consecutive daily closings above the significant 50-day moving average.
Moreover, the hourly chart illustrates a robust consolidation within this burgeoning bullish trend. We are poised for a potential breakout above the critical resistance at 183.248. Should we secure a decisive hourly close above this level, we'll activate a buy order. This strategy ensures precision in capitalizing on the ascending momentum.
The risk management plan includes a stop loss (SL) firmly positioned at 182.49, just below our consolidation pattern. As for the take profit (TP) point, our analysis points towards the region of the upper Bollinger band on the 4-hour chart, estimated at 184.955. This area also tactfully rests below the crucial round number, fostering an encouraging 2:1 risk-to-reward ratio.
Reinforcing our bullish forecast, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the hourly chart is under the overbought threshold, indicating the current trend still has room to rally. Concurrently, the MACD suggests a prevailing bullish bias, priming us for the generation of a buy signal.
In summary, maintain vigilance for a strong hourly breakout above 183.248 in the GBPJPY pair, and be prepared to engage a bullish position with an effective risk-management strategy.
DASH a quick play on earnings LONGDASH has earnings upcoming in two trading days. Since the last earnings three months
ago, on the 4H chart, DASH looks to be very healthy and decidedly bullish. The nearly
continuous MACD lines above the histogram say it all. The PVT shows occasional pullbacks
of the price volume product which are the ideal entries for a long-term swing trader or
investor. Earnings could beat or disappoint seemingly a beat is more likely. Price just completed
a mini pullback and resumed the trend. The " upper Bollinger band walk" is highly
bullish. I see a long trade of perhaps 5% upside with little risk. An options trade with
5 days DTE expiring 8/4 could have far more significant profit carefully constructed to
limit risk with relatively wider stop loss. Good luck to all who elect to take this trade.
BOIL (3X Natural Gas ) Overnight Trade RecapAs a triple leveraged ETF BOIL is highly volatility and typically has a good range
even if the overall price changes only a small amount from one day to the next.
While these overnight day trades are typically conducted on the 3 or 5 minute time
frame, here a 15- minute chart is shown. Because BOIL is tracking natural gas
futures and the futures markets are around the clock , BOIL often has movement
after-hours and in the pre-market while futures markets are active.
In this example, the chart is dressed with double Bollinger band setup with
deviations of 1.618 and 2 618 which are Fibonacci numbers. Relative volatility
and relative volumes are indicated as well to be better attentive to reversals
or trending amplitudes.
In this example at about 12N on yesterday 7/24, price dropped out of the bands
volume and volatility went red to green and the candlesticks formed a morning
star pattern. This is the entry. The stop loss is placed just below the lowest bottoming
wick in the pattern. Today, in the premarket, when the price rose to outside the upper
trade zone and green bars on the volatility and volume indicators fell quickly, the
trade was closed for a realized profit of 4.7%. About 90 minutes later, another
long trade was set up for a more than 4% five hour day trade.

Why This Selloff Has Legs $ES1!The market has finally shown some signs of weakness after Friday's close. In this video I explain why I will be selling rallies next week in CME_MINI:ES1! looking for further price action to the downside. I show you my process for determining support and resistance levels using Bollinger Bands and how to use my free (open source) indicator on TradingView, Beacon.
Does SPY want a correction? Maybe not but it will get one.SPY has had a good run this spring. However, things are changing. Just this week, the debt \
ceiling got raised. The fed will be auctioning large amounts of treasuries to pay bills. This is
money that will not go into the equities markets. Buying volume on a dollar basis will likely go
down as a consequence.
On the daily chart with a double Bollinger Band setup, SPY is more overbought than ever.
The part of the body of the last candle of this past week went outside of both the inner and
outer bands. Looking back this has not occurred in well over a year. Candle wicks did go
outside the bands in late October 22 and mid-December 22. On lower time-frames SPY
has already pulled back into the Bollinger Bands and begun a reversal. I believe that
many traders will take their profits off the table and take another look at bonds and treasuries.
ETFs like TLT and TMF may see significant inflows no matter for stocks in general may not.
I see this as a SPY pullback or correction upcoming for which to take a short trade.
I will look at SPY and QQQ put options with very short DTEs as well as call options on SQQQ.
For stock purchases, I might go with the ETFs SPXS and SPXU. The simple and basic analysis is
their chart shows price candles partially below the lower Bollinger Bands, the inverse of
the SPY. They are oversold and accordingly available for purchase at a discount.
Why we don't use indicators? Many traders apply indicators for their analysis in their next trade.
However, indicators formulate with historical price movement to tell us what is happening right now. It is not so much of telling us what is going to happen.
The reason is simple, it is like economic policies, can manipulate the economy figure. But it doesn't tell us exactly the expectation of the market, such as big players or hot money flow.
If you are using bollinger band on HSI the past 1 week, you would have made huge losses. Because the indicators is just using the average of previous price to plot the possible oversold point.
HSI has been in the oversold 5 days including the moment we are posting here.
Therefore, it is less efficient in telling us what is happening right now. Which is very important for trader to know what is the current big players sentiment. Rather just based on what happened before that could affect the present.
What we eat few days back doesn't mean the output will be the same as what we had few days back. (unless is constipation)
3rd Pine Script Lesson: Open a command & send it to a Mizar BotWelcome back to our TradingView tutorial series! We have reached lesson number 3 where we will be learning how to open a command on TradingView and send it to a Mizar Bot.
If you're new here and missed the first two lessons, we highly recommend starting there as they provide a solid foundation for understanding the concepts we'll be covering today. In the first lesson, you will be learning how to create a Bollinger Band indicator using Pine Script:
In the second lesson, you will be guided through every step of coding the entry logic for your own Bollinger Band indicator using Pine Script:
In this brief tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of utilizing your custom indicator, Mikilap, to determine the ideal timing for sending a standard JSON command to a Mizar DCA bot. By the end of this lesson, you'll have the ability to fine-tune your trading strategies directly on Mizar using indicators from TradingView. So, sit back, grab a cup of coffee (or tea), and let's get started!
To establish a common starting point for everyone, please use the following code as a starting point. It incorporates the homework assignment from our Pine Script lesson number 2. By using this code as our foundation, we can collectively build upon it and delve into additional concepts together. So, sit back, grab a cup of coffee (or tea), and let's get started!

Open a command to send to a Mizar Bot.
Let‘s continue coding
Our target: Use our own indicator: Mikilap, to define the timing to send a standard JSON command to a Mizar DCA bot.
(1) define the JSON command in a string, with variables for
- API key
- BOT id
- BASE asset (coin to trade)
(2) send the JSON command at the beginning of a new bar
(3) setup the TradingView alert to transport our JSON command via
Webhook/API to the Mizar DCA bot
Below you can see the code, which defines the individual strings to prepare the JSON command. In the following, we will explain line by line, what each individual string and command is used for.
// Defintion of a Pine Script individual function to handle the Request and avoid Repainting Errors
Function_Mikilap(simple string coinpair, simple string tf_to_use) =>
int function_result = 0
bool barstate_info = barstate.isconfirmed
open_R, high_R, low_R, close_R = request.security(coinpair, tf_to_use, )
//Text-strings for alerts via API / Webhook
string api_key = "top secret" // API key from MIZAR account
string symbol_prefix = str.replace(symbol_full, "BINANCE:", "", 0)
string symbol_name = str.replace(symbol_prefix, "USDT", "", 0)
string bot_id = "0000" // BOT id from MIZAR DCA bot
// String with JSON command as defined in format from MIZAR.COM
// BOT id, API key and the BASE asset are taken from separate variables
DCA bot identifier:
string api_key = "top secret"
string bot_id = "0000"
These both strings contain the info about your account (BOT owner) and the unique id of your bot, which should receive the JSON command.
BASE asset:
string symbol_prefix = str.replace(symbol_full, "BINANCE:", "", 0)
string symbol_name = str.replace(symbol_prefix, "USDT", "", 0)
The shortcut of the base asset will be taken out of the complete string for the coin pair by cutting out the CEX identifier and the quote asset.
JSON command for opening a position:
Entry_message = '{ "bot_id": "' + bot_id + '", "action": "' + "open-position" + '", "base_asset": "' + symbol_name + '", "quote_asset": "' + "USDT" + '", "api_key": "' + api_key + '" }'
If you want to have more info about all possible JSON commands for a DCA bot, please look into Mizar‘s docs: docs.mizar.com
As the JSON syntax requires quotation marks (“) as part of the command, we define the string for the entry message with single quotations ('). So please ensure to open and close these quotations before or after each operator (=, +, …).
Current status:
- We have the entry logic and show every possible entry on the chart => label.
- We have the JSON command ready in a combined string (Entry_message) including the BOT identifier (API key and BOT id) as well as the coin pair to buy.
What is missing?
- To send this message at the opening of a new bar as soon as the entry logic is true. As we know these moments already, because we are placing a label on the chart, we can use this condition for the label to send the message as well.
alert(): built-in function
- We recommend checking the syntax and parameters for alert() in the Pine Script Reference Manual. As we want to send only one opening command, we are using the alert.freq_once_per_bar. To prepare for more complex Pine Scripts, we have placed the alert() in a separate local scope of an if condition, which is not really needed in this script as of now.
if bb_entry and rsi_entry
function_result += 1
if function_result == 1
alert(Entry_message, alert.freq_once_per_bar)
if function_result == 1 and ticker.standard(syminfo.tickerid) == coinpair
label LE_arrow = label.new(x = bar_index, y = low_R, text = " 🢁 LE", yloc = yloc.belowbar, color = color.rgb(255,255,255,25),
style = label.style_none, textcolor = color.white, tooltip = str.tostring(open_R))
IMPORTANT REMARK:
Do not use this indicator for real trades! This example is for educational purposes only!
Configuration of the TradingView alert: on the top right of the chart screen, you will find the clock, which represents the alert section
a) click on the clock to open the alert section
b) click on the „+“ to create a new alert
c) set the condition to our indicator Mikilap and the menu will change its format (configuration of the TradingView alert)
For our script nothing else is to do (you may change the expiration date and alert name), except to add the Webhook address in the Notification tab.

BUD - Hail the King of BeerHere on a daily chart, I have plotted the ratio of the dynamic share price of BUD compared
with TAP. The thesis is that TAP ( Coors / Molson) may have had a share price rise while
BUD dropped its own as a reaction to its adverse ad campaign which resulted in a social media
disaster. BUD is global with only 25% of its market in North America while TAP is more like
North America predominantly. The ad campaign and social media backlash is only North
America over time is impact will be nil.
The thesis is that BUD will recover and that astute contrarian investors and traders can profit
from the dynamic which in the greater and longer picture has been a dip for BUD representing
a buying opportunity. As can be seen on the chart, the DUD/TAP ratio is at the bottom and
outside of the boundary of the lower Bollinger Bands and now reentering the bands.
The ratio is also in the demand/support zone where it was last October. The action
of the ratio was a double top "M" pattern which has now played out . Finally, the AI predictive
algo of Luxalgo predicts a ratio rise between now and the end of the month as the ratio
heads to the midline of the Bollinger Bands. Overall, the analysis is that either BUD will rise
or TAP will drop or some combination. Overall, I conclude that BUD could easily rise from
this dip over the next ten calendar days. I will take a position in call options with 30- 45 DTE.
