REIT Dashboard – Fundamental Snapshot for REITsThis script displays a clear and compact dashboard with key fundamental indicators for REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). It pulls financial data from quarterly (FQ), yearly (FY), and trailing twelve months (TTM) reports.
Displayed Metrics
Dividend Yield – trailing twelve-month (TTM) dividend yield, manually calculated from historical dividend payments and current share price. Shows the annual income return of the REIT.
Payout Ratio (FFO) – ratio of dividends paid to Funds From Operations (FFO) per share.
➡️ The key payout metric for REITs, indicating how much of recurring cash flow is distributed to shareholders.
Typical healthy range: 60–90%.
Payout Ratio (EPS) – traditional payout ratio based on GAAP earnings (EPS).
➡️ Often misleading for REITs, since depreciation reduces accounting profits. Values >100% are common and not a concern here.
Debt to Equity – measures leverage. Shows how much debt the company uses to finance its assets relative to shareholder equity.
Lower = more conservative balance sheet.
Debt to EBITDA – leverage ratio showing how many years of EBITDA would be required to repay total debt.
Typical REIT range: 4–6×.
Revenue Growth YoY – year-over-year growth in total revenue (TTM).
Positive = expanding rental income or acquisitions.
ROA (Return on Assets) – net income relative to total assets.
REITs typically show low ROA because of large property asset bases.
ROE (Return on Equity) – net income relative to shareholder equity.
Low but stable in REITs due to depreciation and steady cash flow.
P/FFO (Price to FFO) – valuation multiple comparing market price per share to FFO per share.
Analogous to the P/E ratio but more accurate for REITs.
Typical range: 12–20× depending on quality and growth outlook.
