Prime Number Bands Strategy Determining market trends has become a science even though a high number
or people still believe it’s a gambling game. Mathematicians, technicians,
brokers and investors have worked together in developing quite several
indicators to help them better understand and forecast market movements.
The Prime Number Bands indicator was developed by Modulus Financial Engineering
Inc. This indicator is charted by indentifying the highest and lowest prime number
in the neighborhood and plotting the two series as a band.

VWMA Keltner BandsKind of like Keltner Channel/Bands (stockcharts.com) but using VWMA instead so that volume is taken in to account.
Outside the upper band can considered to be 'overbought' and outside the lower band can be considered to be 'oversold'
Has option to highlight signals (i.e. when price closes outside a channel) and also the option to only display signals if the price is on the correct side of VWAP (i.e. no sell signals if price is above VWAP)

Volume Weighted Average Range Bands [DW]This is an experimental study designed to identify the underlying trend bias and volatility of an instrument over any custom interval TradingView supports.
First, reset points are established at points where the opening price of the interval changes.
Next, Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) is calculated. It is the cumulative sum of typical price times volume divided by the cumulative volume. The cumulation starts over upon each reset point.
After that, Volume Weighted Average Range (VWAR) is calculated. The formula structure is the same as VWAP, except using range rather than typical price.
Lastly, the bands are calculated by multiplying the VWAR by the specified multiplier (approximate Golden Ratio by default) and by 1 through 5, then adding to and subtracting from the VWAP.
Custom Bar Colors are included.
Fractal Chaos Bands Backtest The FCB indicator looks back in time depending on the number of time periods trader selected
to plot the indicator. The upper fractal line is made by plotting stock price highs and the
lower fractal line is made by plotting stock price lows. Essentially, the Fractal Chaos Bands
show an overall panorama of the price movement, as they filter out the insignificant fluctuations
of the stock price.
You can change long to short in the Input Settings

How to trade
- Best to use in ranging market conditions
- Place on two different time frames eg. 15 and 55 min.
- Take trades off either short or long term chart.
- Best trades occur when both charts show same trigger/condition.
- Trades are short term reversals in direction of major trend on longer term chart unless you expect a trend reversal.
- Determine which band is the limiting band for the volatility of the instrument.
- When the market closes outside of the limiting band then returns inside, take a long/short one tick above/below the high/low of the previous bar.
- Place stop below/above the low/high of the the recent swing low/high.
- Set targets at opposite band of chart
Triple Bollinger BandsI found myself using multiple bollinger bands a lot so I decided to add them all to one script and add the ability to adjust them by 0.2. It has helped me by not taking up as much space in the upper left corner as well as improving my in's and outs of trend continuation trades. If you manage to find a double top at +2 or greater deviation, and with a bearish divergence on the RSI as shown in this picture, GO SHORT SON! This was a fast and easy 35 - 40 pips and if you used your fibonacci for an exit you had little doubt of the final result and could have even been prepared for an immediate reversal knowing you were then at an oversold -2.8 deviation. I could go on and on........
Stochastic In BandsWhat about to display Stochastic Oscilator in EMA-ATR Bands? If you like the idea I would code advanced version
UCS_Value BandsThis Indicator is yet another variation of KC. Inspired from Value Charts webinar. I have seen their videos on youtube. What appears to be a variation of KC.
They use 12 bands Showing the zone, and different MA for different timeframes.
You can get this indicator close to accuracy by changing the inputs (ATR) and (Deviations)
This also can be used with the triple ATR setup - Change the values to EMA to desired value. To obtain the First band to plot @ 1, Change the Band deviation to 0.25.
Also can be used as as the Acceleration Band. With Current Settings, the Third Band will plot the Acceleration band.

Indicator: Price Headley Accelaration Bands [LazyBear]The Acceleration Band System was published in "Big Trends in Trading" by Price Headley in 2002. The system designed to catch stocks as they start to trend but before they go parabolic. The system is simple but supposed to be very effective.
This system makes use of %R and ADX a lot to determine the entries/exits. Refer to the documents listed below for the complete set of rules.

Groupped SMA with Custom Lenght by Mustafa KAPUZThis script is a custom implementation of grouped Simple Moving Averages (SMA) with added Bollinger Bands
Key Features:
Customizable Length (n): Allows users to set the length for the SMA calculation. The length is the number of bars used to calculate the average. This is input by the user and can be adjusted to analyze different time periods.
Standard Deviation Multiplier (StdDev): This input allows users to customize the width of the Bollinger Bands. A higher multiplier results in wider bands, and a lower multiplier results in narrower bands.
Grouped Calculation: Instead of calculating the SMA on a rolling basis, this script groups the data in sets of n (as per the user-defined length) and calculates the SMA for each group. After each group, the calculation resets.
Bollinger Bands: Based on the SMA calculated for each group, the script calculates the standard deviation of prices within the group. Using the standard deviation and the standard deviation multiplier (StdDev), it computes the upper and lower Bollinger Bands.
Dynamic Visualization: For each completed group of n bars, the script draws lines on the chart representing the upper band, lower band, and the SMA itself. These lines help visualize the volatility and the average price level for each group.
How It Works:
Data Grouping: For every candle/bar on the chart, the script sums up the closing prices and counts the number of bars until it reaches the user-defined length (n). It stores closing prices in an array for further calculations.
Average Calculation: Once the count reaches n, it calculates the average closing price for the group and resets the sum and count for the next group.
Standard Deviation and Bollinger Bands: With the average calculated, it then computes the standard deviation of the closing prices within the group. This standard deviation, multiplied by the user-defined StdDev multiplier, determines the distance of the Bollinger Bands from the average.
Drawing Lines: Finally, the script visually represents these calculations on the chart by drawing lines for the upper band, lower band, and the average itself for each group.
Purpose and Use:
This script is useful for traders and analysts who prefer to examine price movements and volatility in fixed intervals or groups of bars, rather than the continuous rolling averages provided by traditional SMA and Bollinger Band indicators. By adjusting the length and standard deviation multiplier, users can tailor the indicator to fit various trading strategies, time frames, and market conditions. This grouped approach can provide unique insights into market trends, potential reversals, and volatility patterns that might not be as evident with standard indicators.
VWAP & Band Cross Strategy v6VWAP & Band Cross Strategy v6: Script Summary
This Pine Script implements a highly flexible, multi-layered trading strategy centered around the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) and its associated Standard Deviation Bands.
The strategy is designed to test various entry/exit models based on how the price interacts with the central VWAP line and the upper/lower volatility bands, with extensive risk management and confirmation filters.
1. Core Mechanics (VWAP & Bands)
VWAP Calculation: Calculates the VWAP based on a user-defined source (default is the close price).
Standard Deviation Bands: Creates upper and lower bands by calculating the standard deviation of the price (over 20 periods by default) and multiplying it by a user-defined Multiplier (default is 2.0). These bands dynamically expand and contract with volatility.
Plotting: The script clearly plots the VWAP (purple), the Upper Band (green), and the Lower Band (red), with a colored fill between the bands.
2. Entry Triggers
The core entry logic is based on a single, user-selected cross event between the price and the VWAP/Bands. The user can choose from six predefined entry types:
Entry Type Category
Entry Trigger (Long)
Entry Trigger (Short)
Mean Reversion
Price crosses over the Lower Band.
Price crosses under the Upper Band.
Trend Following
Price crosses over the Upper Band (Breakout).
Price crosses under the Lower Band (Breakout).
VWAP Cross
Price crosses over the VWAP.
Price crosses under the VWAP.
3. Filters and Confirmation
Trades are only executed if they pass a series of optional filters, making the strategy highly customizable:
Technical Confirmation (Optional): Users can enable and configure up to three additional indicators that must align with the trade direction:
RSI: Price must be Oversold (for Long) or Overbought (for Short).
SMMA: Price must be above the SMMA (for Long) or below (for Short).
MACD: MACD line must cross the Signal line and the Histogram must be positive/negative.
Time and Day Filters: Trades are restricted to a defined Entry Start/End Hour/Minute window, and only execute on user-selected Trading Days of the week.
Trade Direction: Can be toggled to execute Long Only, Short Only, or Both.
4. Advanced Risk Management (Daily Limits)
The strategy incorporates robust daily limits that reset at a configured Daily Reset Hour/Minute:
Daily Profit/Loss Limits: If the running total of Realized PnL (closed trades) + Unrealized PnL (open position) exceeds a user-defined Daily Take Profit (in Ticks) or falls below the Daily Stop Loss (in Ticks), the strategy locks out new trades and immediately closes any open position.
Max Daily Trades: Prevents the strategy from entering more than a specified number of trades per day.
5. Exit Logic
The strategy exit is also highly configurable via the Exit Type setting:
Fixed Ticks / ATR / Capped ATR: If one of these is selected, the script calculates a static Stop Loss and Take Profit level upon entry, using either fixed tick values or dynamic values based on the Average True Range (ATR), which are then executed using Pine Script's strategy.exit function.
Cross Exits (VWAP/Bands): If selected, the position is closed when the price crosses the VWAP or a specific band in the opposite direction.
End-of-Day Close: An unconditional exit that closes all open positions at a user-defined Close All Hour/Minute, regardless of profit/loss or limit status, preventing positions from being held overnight.
Bollinger Band Squeeze with Dotted MidlinesBollinger Band Squeeze with Dotted Midlines
Overview:
The Bollinger Band Squeeze with Dotted Midlines indicator is a powerful tool designed to identify periods of low volatility in the market, known as "squeeze" conditions, which often precede significant price movements. By combining Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels, this indicator highlights when the market is consolidating and prepares traders for potential breakouts.
Key Features:
• Squeeze Detection: The indicator fills the area between the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels with a semi-transparent red color when both the upper and lower Bollinger Bands are within the Keltner Channels. This visual cue signifies a squeeze condition.
• Dynamic Color Filling: When the Bollinger Bands move outside the Keltner Channels, the fill color changes to a semi-transparent white, indicating the end of the squeeze and the potential start of increased volatility.
• Enhanced Visual Clarity:
o Upper and Lower Bands: The upper and lower lines of both the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels are plotted with increased thickness (3pt) for better visibility.
o Midlines with Dotted Effect: The middle lines (50% lines) for both the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels are plotted as dotted lines using circles with a thinner line width (1pt), providing a clear yet unobtrusive reference point.
Indicator Components:
1. Bollinger Bands (Orange Lines):
o Upper Bollinger Band: Calculated as the moving average plus a multiple of the standard deviation.
o Lower Bollinger Band: Calculated as the moving average minus a multiple of the standard deviation.
o Middle Bollinger Band: The simple moving average (SMA) of the closing price.
2. Keltner Channels (White Lines):
o Upper Keltner Channel: Calculated as the exponential moving average (EMA) plus a multiple of the average true range (ATR).
o Lower Keltner Channel: Calculated as the EMA minus a multiple of the ATR.
o Middle Keltner Channel: The EMA of the closing price.
3. Squeeze Condition Fill:
o Red Fill (40% Opacity): Indicates a squeeze condition where the Bollinger Bands are entirely within the Keltner Channels.
o White Fill (40% Opacity): Indicates normal market conditions where the Bollinger Bands have moved outside the Keltner Channels.
How to Use:
1. Identifying Squeeze Conditions:
o Look for Red Filled Areas: When you see the area between the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels filled in semi-transparent red, it signals a squeeze condition. This means the market is experiencing low volatility and may be preparing for a significant move.
2. Preparing for Potential Breakouts:
o Monitor for Fill Color Changes: A transition from red to white fill suggests that the squeeze is ending, and volatility is increasing. Traders often interpret this as a potential opportunity for a breakout in either direction.
3. Utilizing Midlines:
o Reference Midlines for Trend Direction: The dotted midlines provide insight into the overall trend. Crossing of the price above or below these lines can offer additional confirmation for trading decisions.
Customization Options:
• Bollinger Bands Settings:
o Length: Default is 20 periods. Adjust to change the sensitivity of the bands.
o Multiplier: Default is 2.0. Modify to increase or decrease the band width based on standard deviation.
• Keltner Channels Settings:
o Length: Default is 20 periods. Alter to adjust the responsiveness of the channels.
o Multiplier: Default is 1.5. Change to widen or narrow the channels based on average true range.
Advantages:
• Visual Clarity: Enhanced line thickness and semi-transparent fills make it easy to spot key market conditions at a glance.
• Early Warning System: By identifying squeeze conditions, traders can anticipate potential breakouts and plan their strategies accordingly.
• Flexible Application: Suitable for various timeframes and trading styles, including day trading, swing trading, and position trading.
Limitations:
• False Signals: Like all technical indicators, it may produce false signals, especially in choppy or range-bound markets.
• Should Be Used with Other Indicators: For better accuracy, it's recommended to use this indicator in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and not as a standalone signal generator.
Conclusion:
The Bollinger Band Squeeze with Dotted Midlines indicator is a valuable addition to any trader's toolkit. By effectively highlighting periods of consolidation and potential breakout points, it aids in making informed trading decisions. The visual enhancements improve usability, allowing traders to quickly interpret market conditions and respond appropriately.
