Harmonic Patterns Based Trend FollowerEarlier this week, published an idea on how harmonic patterns can be used for trend following. This script is an attempt to implement the same.
🎲 Process
🎯 Derive Zigzag and scan harmonic patterns for last 5 confirmed pivots
🎯 If a pattern is found, highest point of pattern will become the bullish zone and lower point of the pattern will become bearish zone.
🎯 Since it is trend following method, when price reaches bullish zone, then the trend is considered as bullish and when price reaches bearish zone, the trend is considered as bearish.
🎯 If price does not touch both regions, then trend remains unchanged.
🎯 Bullish and bearish zone will change as and when new patterns are formed.
🎲 Note
Patterns are not created on latest pivot as last pivot will be unconfirmed and moving. Due to this, patterns appear after certain delay - patterns will not be real time. But, this is expected and does not impact the overall process.
When new pattern formed
When price breaks over the zones
🎲 Output
🎯 Patterns formed are drawn in blue coloured lines. Due to pine limitation of max 500 lines, older patterns automatically get deleted when new ones come.
🎯 Bullish Zone and Bearish Zone are plotted in green and red colours and the zone will change whenever new pattern comes along.
🎯 Bar colors are changed according to calculated trend. Trend value can be 1 or -1 based on the current trend. You can also find the value in data window.
🎯 For simplicity purpose, input option for selection of specific patterns are not provided and also pattern names are not displayed on the chart.

Fake breakHi Traders,
I've developed an indicator which can detect fake-breaks on the chart.
In the following you'll find the definition of the fake break candles and also you will find how to recognize it on the chart with practical examples.
What is the fake break pattern?
Sometimes support and resistance lines broke with a full body and strong candles that gives us the idea of sharp movements on the chart but suddenly the next candle returns all the path of the previous candle. in this case we can say fake break is happening on the chart.
This indicator detect fake break patterns based on two criteria:
1. It uses AverageTrueRange indicator to measure the strength of the pattern.
2. The returning candle should engulf minimum 75% of the break candle.
This indicator plot 2 terms in the name of "FB-D" and "FB-U" that are abbreviations of the "Fake Break Down" and "Fake Break Up".
You can also set alerts to get notified when fake breakout happens on the chart.
Notice: This pattern is only acceptable in valid support and resistance zones and you can not rely on it everywhere on the chart (specially in the middle of the waves).
Notice: The source code of this indicator is open and you are allowed to use it on your scripts by mentioning the name of author.
Disclaimer: This is not a financial advice or any signal to buy or sell, the goal of developing such an indicator is to use for educational purposes.
Quasimodo Pattern by EmreKbThis indicator show the quasimodo patterns on the chart. Quasimodo pattern (QML) is the reversal pattern. This looks like head and shoulder pattern but this have two difference. On the quasimodo, second neck should be lower/higher (lower for the bearish, higher for the bullish) and quasimodo has no second shoulder. Usually QML line is an entry and head point is a stoplos.
Zigzag length is a length for the zigzag calculation.
Volume Impulse & Candlestick Patterns - FontiramisuIndicator showing volume impulse & engulfing candlestick pattern.
You can set up multiple parameter for both events.
Volume Impulse :
Volume Period : Lenght of the average volume calculated.
Volume Multiplier : Factor to compare actual volume with average volume.
Engulfing Pattern :

Engulfing Multiplier : Factor to compare and validate the pattern.
Naked Bar Upward ReversalAMEX:SPY
The Naked Bar Upward Reversal is a three bar candlestick pattern with an inside candle as a entry point. This pattern is bullish since it has a candle closing red from the previous candle; the most bearish pattern possible. The following inside candle is a reversal of its previous candle with an open above the previous candle's close. Look to buy the next open above the inside candle's close.
This is a bullish reversal pattern and should be used in this context. Successful entries are found in corrections along an upward trend, or buying into a dip. Performance drops when the pattern appears at tops. To improve profitability, use a cluster of evidence to enhance the performance of this pattern. The intended time frame is within the daily and weekly.

3LL+Baby & 3HH+Baby Pattern3LL+Baby & 3HH+Baby Pattern Indicator
Overview
This indicator identifies powerful reversal patterns based on momentum exhaustion and inside bar formations. It detects two specific candlestick patterns that signal potential trend reversals: the bullish 3LL+Baby and the bearish 3HH+Baby.
Pattern Descriptions
📈 3LL+Baby Pattern (Bullish Reversal)
Conditions:
Three consecutive candles form lower lows (each low is lower than the previous)
The fourth candle is bullish/green (closes higher than it opens)
The fourth candle is completely contained within the third candle's range (both high and low)
Interpretation: After a downward momentum with three lower lows, a bullish inside bar (baby candle) suggests sellers are exhausted and buyers may be taking control. This pattern often precedes upward reversals.
📉 3HH+Baby Pattern (Bearish Reversal)
Conditions:
Three consecutive candles form higher highs (each high is higher than the previous)
The fourth candle is bearish/red (closes lower than it opens)
The fourth candle is completely contained within the third candle's range (both high and low)
Interpretation: After upward momentum with three higher highs, a bearish inside bar indicates buyers are losing strength and sellers may be gaining control. This pattern often signals potential downward reversals.
Features
Visual Signals
Green Triangle (↑): Appears below bars when 3LL+Baby pattern is detected
Red Triangle (↓): Appears above bars when 3HH+Baby pattern is detected
Labels: Clear text labels identifying each pattern type

Candlestick PatternsWhat It Does:
Automatically identifies and displays:
🟢 16+ Bullish patterns (Hammer, Engulfing ↑, Morning Star, etc.)
🔴 Bearish patterns (Shooting Star, Engulfing ↓, Evening Star, etc.)
🔵 Break & Retest signals (70-80% win rate setups)
⚪ Neutral patterns (Doji, Spinning Top - indecision)
🎯 Automatic alerts for all major patterns
Purpose: Shows you exactly when reversals are likely and identifies the highest-probability entry points (Break & Retest).Key Patterns:Bullish (Green labels above/below):
HAMMER - Long lower wick, small body (reversal from bottom)
ENGULF ↑ - Big green candle swallows previous red (strong reversal)
MORNING★ - Three candles: red, doji, green (major bottom)
3 BULLS - Three consecutive green candles (strong momentum)
PIERCE - Green closes above 50% of previous red
RETEST ↑ (BEST!) - Price broke resistance, pulled back, bounced (cyan circle)
Bearish (Red labels above/below):
SHOOT★ - Long upper wick, small body (reversal from top)
ENGULF ↓ - Big red candle swallows previous green (strong reversal)
EVENING★ - Three candles: green, doji, red (major top)
3 BEARS - Three consecutive red candles (strong momentum)

RETEST ↓ (BEST!) - Price broke support, bounced back, rejected (orange circle)
Neutral:
DOJI - Indecision, potential reversal coming
SPINNING TOP - Small body, long wicks (indecision)
Best Practices:✅ Wait for confirmation - Don't trade pattern alone, check context
✅ Combine patterns - Retest + Candlestick = 80%+ win rate
✅ Check trend - Bullish patterns in uptrend work best
✅ Volume matters - Larger patterns with volume = stronger
✅ Fresh retests - First retest after break = highest probability
✅ Use alerts - Set alerts for Engulfing, Retest, Morning/Evening Star
✅ Size matters - Bigger candles = stronger signals❌ Don't trade every pattern - Quality over quantity
❌ Don't ignore context - Hammer at resistance = weak signal
❌ Don't trade against trend - Bearish in strong uptrend = risky
❌ Don't skip stop loss - Always protect your trades
❌ Don't trade small patterns - Need clear, visible patterns
Wolfe Wave PatternHello All!
For a while now, some of my followers have been asking me to develop Wolfe Wave Pattern . Here it's at your service as open-source and public indicator.
How it works?
- On each bar/tick it checks zigzag waves by using base period and updates the array that is used to keep zigzag levels and locations. Base period in the settings is the minimum zigzag period
- Then it searches if there is new bullish/bearish Wolfe Wave pattern according to last wave direction
- Before searching the pattern it calculates all possible 1234 waves. So any wave in 12345 uses base period or higher. it means that it search all possible candidates. This algorithm is much better than using a few zigzag periods.
- After getting all possible candidates, it checks if any of the found candidates is suitable for Wolfe Wave pattern and keeps them in a matrix
- if there are suitable candidate(s) it shows the latest one and triggers the alert
- it also follows the targets and if the price hits any of the target it extends the line and trigger the alert
- it doesn't check if any of the patterns hits stop-loss.
Options:
Base Period: minimum period to create the zigzag
Error Rate: there are usually so few perfect patterns, so we better consider deviation. if error rate is low than it finds less pattern with more accuracy, if error rate is high than it finds more pattern with less accuracy
- The other options are used for coloring the patterns and lines
Some examples:
P.S. I didn't have enough time to test the indicator, so please drop a comment if you see any issue while using it
Enjoy!

Candlestick Patterns Backtester [Optimized]Candlestick Patterns Backtester
What this is: This indicator is based on a really cool candlestick pattern backtester that I found (I'll update this later when I remember where I got it from or find the actual author). The original had this massive table showing win/loss ratios for a bunch of candlestick patterns, and according to the built-in backtester, it was actually profitable - which was pretty impressive.
The Problem: I played around with the original for a while but honestly wasn't really able to get it to work well at all for actual trading. It was still pretty cool to look at though! The main issues were:
It was just a big static table - hard to do anything useful with it
Couldn't send signals out to other strategies
The code was a monster - like 2,000+ lines of repetitive mess
What I Did: I completely refactored this thing and got it down from 2,000+ lines to just a few hundred lines. Much cleaner now! Here's what it does:
45+ Candlestick Patterns - All the classics are in there
Dynamic Filtering - Set your own requirements (minimum win rate, profit factor, total trades, etc.)
Flexible Logic - Choose AND/OR logic for your filters
Signal Generation - Creates actual buy/sell signals you can use with other strategies
Visual Badges - Shows pattern badges on chart when they meet your criteria
Active Patterns Table - Only shows patterns that are currently profitable based on your settings
Settings You Can Adjust:
Minimum win rate threshold
Minimum profit factor
Minimum number of trades required
Whether to use AND or OR logic for filtering
Colors, badge display, debug options
Reality Check: Trading these patterns really wasn't for me, but it was still a great learning experience. The backtesting results look good on paper, but as always, past performance doesn't guarantee future results. Use this as a research tool and educational resource more than anything else.
Credit: This is based on someone else's original work that I heavily modified and optimized. I'll update this description once I track down the original author to give proper credit where it's due.
This introduction captures your casual, honest tone while explaining the technical improvements you made and setting realistic expectations about the indicator's practical use.
Rapid Candle PATTERNSIndicator Title: Rapid Candle Patterns - High-Probability Signals
Description
Tired of noisy charts filled with weak and ambiguous candlestick patterns? The Rapid Candle Patterns indicator is engineered to solve this problem by moving beyond simple textbook definitions. It identifies only high-probability reversal and continuation signals by focusing on the underlying market dynamics: momentum, liquidity, and confirmation.
This is not just another pattern indicator; it's a professional-grade tool designed to help you spot truly significant price action events.
How The Logic Works & Why It's More Accurate
Each pattern in this script has been enhanced with stricter, more intelligent rules to filter out noise and reduce false signals. Here’s what makes our logic superior:
1. The Liquidity Grab Hammer & Inverted Hammer
Standard Logic: A simple hammer shows a long lower wick, suggesting buyers pushed the price back up.
Our Enhanced Logic: We don't just look for a hammer shape. Our signal is only valid if the hammer’s low takes out the low of the previous candle (a "liquidity grab" or "stop hunt").
Why It's More Accurate: This sequence is incredibly powerful. It shows that sellers attempted to push the market lower, triggered stop-loss orders below the prior low, and then were decisively overpowered by buyers who reversed the price. This isn't just a reversal; it's a failed breakdown, often trapping sellers and fueling a stronger move in the opposite direction.
2. The "True" Bullish & Bearish Harami
Standard Logic: A small candle forms within the high-low range of the previous candle. This can often be misleading if the prior candle has long wicks and a tiny body.
Our Enhanced Logic: We enforce a "dual containment" rule. For a Harami to be valid, its body must be contained within the body of the previous candle. We also ensure the Harami candle itself is not a Doji, meaning it must show some conviction.
Why It's More Accurate: This ensures you are seeing a genuine and significant contraction in momentum. It filters out scenarios where a large-bodied candle forms inside the wicks of a doji-like candle, which is not a true Harami. Our logic captures the "pregnant" pattern as it was intended—a moment of quiet consolidation before a potential new move.
3. The "Power" Bullish & Bearish Engulfing
Standard Logic: A candle's body engulfs the body of the previous candle. This is a common signal, but it often lacks follow-through.
Our Enhanced Logic: Our "Power Engulfing" requires two conditions: (1) The body must engulf the prior candle's body, AND (2) the candle must close beyond the entire high/low range of the prior candle.
Why It's More Accurate: This is the ultimate sign of confirmation. It doesn't just show that one side has won the battle for the session; it proves they had enough force to break the entire structure of the previous candle. This signifies immense momentum and dramatically increases the probability that the trend will continue in the direction of the engulfing candle.
4. The Quantified Doji
Our Logic: Instead of being a subjective pattern, a Doji is defined quantitatively. It's a candle whose body is less than or equal to a user-defined percentage (default 9%) of its total range.
Why It's More Accurate: It provides a consistent and objective measure of market indecision. Furthermore, any candle identified as a Doji is automatically disqualified from being a Hammer, ensuring clear and distinct signals.
User Customization
Toggle Patterns On/Off: Declutter your chart by only showing the patterns you want to see.
Fine-Tune Logic: Use the "Pattern Logic" settings to adjust the sensitivity of the Doji and Harami detectors to perfectly match your trading style, asset, and timeframe.
Disclaimer: This indicator is a powerful tool for identifying high-probability price action. However, no single indicator is a complete trading system. Always use these signals as part of a comprehensive strategy, combined with analysis of market structure, support/resistance levels, and other forms of confluence.
Engulfing Candle Pattern (Strict)Indicator Name :
Engulfing Candle Pattern (Strict)
Purpose :
The Engulfing Candle Pattern Indicator is designed to identify and visually mark bullish and bearish engulfing patterns on a price chart. These patterns are powerful reversal signals in technical analysis, often used by traders to spot potential trend changes. The indicator ensures strict adherence to the definition of engulfing patterns, making it reliable for identifying high-probability setups.
What It Does :
Identifies Engulfing Patterns :
The indicator scans the price data for candles that meet the criteria of either a bullish engulfing or bearish engulfing pattern .
A bullish engulfing occurs when a green (bullish) candle fully engulfs the body and wicks of the previous red (bearish) candle and closes above its high.
A bearish engulfing occurs when a red (bearish) candle fully engulfs the body and wicks of the previous green (bullish) candle and closes below its low.
Marks Patterns Visually :
Bullish engulfing patterns are marked with a green upward triangle below the candle.
Bearish engulfing patterns are marked with a red downward triangle above the candle.
Optional labels ("Bullish" or "Bearish") provide additional context.
Highlights Candles :
Engulfing candles are highlighted with semi-transparent colors:
Green for bullish engulfing.
Red for bearish engulfing.
Ensures Strict Conditions :
The current candle must fully cover the entire body and wicks of the previous candle.
The current candle must close above the previous candle's high (for bullish) or below the previous candle's low (for bearish).

W and M Pattern Indicator- SwaGThis is a TradingView indicator script that identifies potential buy and sell signals based on ‘W’ and ‘M’ patterns in the Relative Strength Index (RSI). It provides visual alerts and draws horizontal lines to indicate potential trade entry points.
User Manual:
Inputs: The script takes two inputs - an upper limit and a lower limit. The default values are 70 and 40, respectively.
RSI Calculation: The script calculates the RSI based on the closing prices of the last 14 periods.
Pattern Identification: It identifies ‘W’ patterns when the RSI makes a higher low within the lower limit, and ‘M’ patterns when the RSI makes a lower high within the upper limit.
Visual Alerts: The script plots these patterns on the chart. ‘W’ patterns are marked with small green triangles below the bars, and ‘M’ patterns are marked with small red triangles above the bars.
Trade Entry Points: A horizontal line is drawn at the high or low of the candle to represent potential trade entry points. The line starts from one bar to the left and extends 10 bars to the right.
Trading Strategy:
For investing, use a weekly timeframe.
For swing trading, use a daily timeframe.
For intraday trading, use a 5 or 15-minute timeframe. Only consider sell-side signals for intraday trading.
Take a buy position if the high breaks above the green line or sell if the low breaks below the red line.
Use recent signals only and avoid signals that are too old.
Swing highs or lows will be your stop-loss level.
Always think about your stop-loss before entering a trade, not your target.
Avoid trades with a large stop-loss.
Remember, this script is a tool to aid in your trading decisions. Always test your strategies thoroughly before live trading. Happy trading! 😊
