#TheStrat - Highs and Lows of Candles of 4 Custom Time framesThe bread and butter of strat traders is multi-timeframe analysis. We do MTFA in 2 different ways: 1) By Looking for entries confirmed by Full Timeframe Continuity which is just another way of saying that on multiple timeframes, the candles currently forming are all uniform in direction(ie. all red candles or all green candles), and 2) Looking for Strat reversal on lower timeframes that trigger your higher timeframes reversals. This script is concerned with the latter piece of multi-timeframe analysis, and its application to the strat Anyone who has watched Sara's videos teaching the strat can see how she uses the highs and lows of her major time periods, the monthly, weekly, and daily, to find entries from her lower time periods to trigger her higher timeframes. This script performs the process of marking the highs and lows of 4-major time periods automatically so that you do not need to mark every single chart you use manually. I have found this script to be very useful, and convenient. I hope that other stratters find it as useful as I am. Below outlines how to use this, although it is mostly self-explanatory. Special thanks and credit to millerrm, who I used his original code snippets to rework his original script to something more tailored to my personal use cases. Settings - You can change the time periods of the candles that you would like to mark to any time frame using the 4 dropdown boxes marked TF# You can choose to toggle the lines for each given time period on and off, in the settings by checking off each time period. The default colors are purple, blue, orange, and white, in order respective of time from shortest to highest The default time periods are 3hr, 6hr, 12hr, and daily

RM StratThis is my attempt to code up the rules of "The Strat." I've seen other scripts that do parts of what my script does, but this script combines all of them into one script and allows the user control over how they interact with each other. What's in this indicator? Show the Strat Candle Numbers (1 - inside bar, 2 - continuation bar, 3 - outside bar) on the chart. Show a widget off to the right of the chart for multi-timeframe analysis. This widget tells you whether the D/W/M/Q candles are currently green or red as well as the Candle type (White Circle - (1) Inside Bar, Up Green Arrow - (2U) Continuation Bar, Down Red Arrow - (2D) Continuation Bar, Green/Red Square - (3) Outside Bar) Integrates the long and short rules into the chart. These can also be turned off if you don't want to see them. Note: this is a simplified version of these rules - if you look at the cheat sheets floating around the internet, you'll notice that all trade initiations occur on a break of the high (for longs) or low (for shorts) of the previous candle as long as that previous candle was not a 2. So that's my only rule for going long or short. I think it matches well with the cheat sheets but is way simpler to code and to think of how it works. The other benefit is it shows you failed trades that the cheat sheet won't catch - where a 2 becomes a 3 in the other direction and stops you out. You'll see that now with this script. Ability to filter out the long/short rules based on the timeframe continuity of the higher timeframe candles. This is user-configurable so that you can experiment with timeframe continuity and see how strict you want to be with this on your trades. Show the high/low of the Day, Week, and Month on your chart as horizontal lines that you can use as a reference. This could be used for planning profit targets or seeing how likely a reversal might indicate moving into timeframe continuity.

TheStratHelper - Watchlist MakerEnter 13 symbols of your choice in the input tab. By default some symbols are already entered. 2 Up = Current bar higher than the previous bar. 2 Down = Current bar lower than the previous bar. Scanning for 2 Up or 2 Down on monthly, weekly and daily timeframes. 2up In Force Only = If the current price is still above the last bar. E.g. of how I use this..If a symbol is 2Up on Monthly, then I want to know if it's 2Up on Weekly. Then I can look for a trade opportunity on 1D. If a symbol is 2up on monthly, weekly and daily, then I look for a trade opportunity on intraday timeframe. IMPORTANT: Scans will show the correct results ONLY IF the chart timeframe is 1D or less. TheStratHelper Scanner 1= Inside Candle 2= Goes past the previous candle's price up or down 3= Goes past the previous candle's price on both sides Ability to change the timeframe and the symbols this indicator is scanning through in the input tab under settings of this indicator. Maximum symbols 40. By default some symbols are entered in the indicator already. They cannot be left empty. If left empty, an error comes up and the script doesn't load. Can look through many timeframes like monthly, weekly, daily by changing the timeframe in the input tab under settings. Default timeframe is set to 1 Day. First label is for all of the symbols the indicator is scanning. Second label is the result of the scan. TheStrat MTF High/LowI just started learning about #TheStrat by Rob Smith. I created this tool as it helps me see the bigger TFs over my short TF periods. It plots the Highs and Lows of the current and past Quarter, Month, Week, Day, 6hour, and 1hour. (I added the 6 hour for myself for use with cryptos which run 24 hours). It leaves the previous Highs/Lows plotted as well so you can see how the candles are moving within the bigger candlestick . Example, if you select the 15 minute candlestick , it will also list the current high/low for the 1h, 6h, D, W, M, and Q. It has customization that will disable whatever TF's you are not interested in. It has auto-detect and disable lower TFs that are less than or equal to the current selected TF. This function will only work to disable when one of the above mentioned periods is selected. Example, if you select the M candle, it will disable the M, W, D, 6h, and 1h. Only the bigger TF of the Q will be visible. Example of when function wont work, if you selected the 2 Month candle it will not disable any of the TFs. I am open to any ideas that you experienced Stratters offer. As soon as I get better at the system and generate some income for myself, I will likely make it open source. Hope this helps.

Open the 3 indicators in order starting with Part 1, Part 2 then Part 3. That way the scanner headings (60/D/W/M/Q) will line up with the setups signals. IMPORTANT: For the scan to work across ALL Timeframe Groups (60/D/W/M/Q) successfully you must open a 1HR (60min) chart on the stock you want to scan. Once the scan results are displayed with the 1HR chart open you can then click on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarter chart to see the setups. But do not pay attention to the new lower timeframe scan results when you have a higher timeframe chart open as they will be incorrect. For an example: a Successful (60/D/W/M/Q) Scan = after you open a 1HR chart only. If you open the Daily chart the (D/W/M/Q) scan results will be correct but the 60 scan results will be incorrect. If you open the Weekly chart the (W/M/Q) results will be correct but the 60 and Daily scan results will be incorrect always go back to the 1HR chart to correct. This anomaly if due to a historical data issue with pine script. How to change the Scanner Labels and Text Color’s? Color’s changed within the Indicator Settings. After you choose your color's on the 'Inputs' page make sure you click the drop down arrow next to 'Defaults' (bottom left of the indicator settings) and then click 'Save As Default' to save your personalised indicator preferences. How to create an Alert? With a 1HR chart open click on Add Alert. Change Condition to Strat Signal Scanner Part 1, Part or Part 3 Now select signal/setup in drop down box below example: ‘Inside 60’ Click Create A Warning will appear now click ‘Continue anyway’. An alert is now set.

Strat Candles+Open Levels+Active FTFC** YOU MUST READ BEFORE USING THIS INDICATOR ** This indicator is strictly for helping people like myself learn 'The Strat' method by Rob Smith. This indicator DOES NOT provide trading advice or trade entry signals! Strat Candles+Open Levels+Active FTFC Indicator features : Strat Candles Scenarios 1, 2 and 3. Open Price Levels for the 1min/5min/15/30/60/4HR/12HR/D/W/M/Q/Y Active FTFC (Full Timeframe Continuity) Function. How to use Active FTFC: After you have added the indicator to your chart you must open the Indicator Settings. Select your Active FTFC Timeframe Group and Select your Candle Body Color for Bullish FTFC and Bearish FTFC. When FTFC is Active the candle body will change color when all FTFC conditions have been met across your selected Timeframes. For Active FTFC to work successfully only open the FIRST Timeframe chart listed within your selected group! If you select other Timeframes within your selected group Active FTFC results will be invalid. Example: If you have ticked and selected 'Active FTFC 60/D/W/M' you must only use the Active FTFC function on a 60min chart. If you then open a Daily chart the Active FTFC will not work correctly go back to the 60min chart. Please note this function only works on the current live candle not previous historical candles on the chart. Feel free to use Trading View's Replay feature on any chart with the Indicator to see how it works. Screener Outside BarsBased on the teachings of Rob Smith 1= Inside Candle 2= Goes past the previous candle's price up or down 3= Goes past the previous candle's price on both sides Outside Bar (3) is a bar that has broken the price of both sides of the previous bar. Ability to change the timeframe and the symbols this indicator is scanning through in the input tab under settings of this indicator. Maximum symbols 40. Looking for outside bars within 40 symbols. By default some symbols are entered in the indicator already. They cannot be left empty. If left empty, the script might not work properly. By changing the timeframe, outside bars can be looked under many timeframes like Monthly, Weekly, Dialy, Intraday, etc. First label is for all of the symbols the indicator is scanning. Second label is the result of the scan. Text is bigger than in this label than the first label to differentiate from the first label and for ease of use. Please DM me on how to access this indicator.

Screener Red?Based on the teachings of Rob Smith Ability to change the timeframe and the symbols this indicator is scanning through in the input tab under settings of this indicator. Maximum symbols 40. All of the symbols need to entered. If any symbol field is left empty, the script might not work properly. This is a simple screener which checks if the current candle is red/going down. I add it 4 times and change the timeframes on each one to tell me if any of the symbols scanning through have FTFC(Full time frame continuity). If a symbol appears in all of the timeframes selected, it would have continuity in all of those timeframes. Meaning going down in all of those selected timeframes. I like to add a textbox on top of the labels manually when I change the timeframe to tell me which timeframe the indicator is scanning through. Always double check in the settings of the indicator that the correct timeframe is selected. First label is for all of the symbols the indicator is scanning. Second label is the result of the scan.
