TIPA seeks to provide periodic inflation-linked distributions through a ladder of US Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) maturing through 2030. The Fund invests across staggered rungs, initially spanning 20262030, in roughly equal par amounts to generate cash flows from both income and principal as bonds mature. Instead of reinvesting proceeds, TIPA makes cash distributions from maturing securities, which may include a return of capital. The Fund intends to keep substantially all assets in TIPS, though during short transition periods it may hold money market instruments until cash is redeployed across remaining rungs. TIPS adjust their principal with changes in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), offering inflation protection but generally lower yields than conventional bonds. At the end of 2030, TIPA will liquidate and distribute substantially all of its assets.
