ALB For me one of the main reasons to own lithium exposure was the incredible upside in the event of supply constraints. That bullish possibility has frankly speaking disappeared due to advancements in sodium ion batteries, and this all happened well before it was even necessary. Usually it's supply constraints that cause research into alternative materials but it seems they went ahead and capped the upside of lithium before it was even necessary by securing alternative materials.

I think this reality probably needs to be priced in, though it's not like lithium miners have exactly run up much yet. How much of previous highs was due to the large potential upside that is now capped much lower? Lithium miners should probably become much less volatile moving forward because the payout structure and risk reward has fundamentally changed.
ALB averaged around $100... using ALB as an exercise in holding and patience! Once lithium prices recover, it's gonna fly. They did great on earnings, but it just wasn't enough. The ramp up to the low 80's was just practice for the future. I could buy some more and get the average down, but I'm just going to wait it out. Learn to love the red!!!!
ALB I've bought 10 times the last year. I have timed my buys/sells down to within 50 cents every time. Meaning, i got stopped out of my longs within 50 cents of the low of the next month 4 times. And I got stopped out of my shorts witin 50 cents of the top of the next month 6 times. I had my 9 year pick a number between 1 - 100 (which were the top 100 S&P stocks) 10 times for me to buy. He won 9 out of 10 times. I am the best trader ever. Wow. Just goes to show that no amount of technical analysis can beat luck.
