ABNB I currently own seven Airbnb properties, and bookings have completely dried up , it’s been dead quiet for weeks.
Airbnb has shifted more and more costs and risks onto hosts while steadily reducing our visibility and support. The host forums are filled with the same complaints: almost nobody is getting bookings anymore. It’s unclear whether this is primarily due to broader economic pressures or the recent platform changes that seem designed to squeeze hosts yet again.
Either way, the sentiment is turning very sour. A lot of us feel like a badly treated partner in what’s supposed to be a partnership. Many hosts (myself included) are reaching the point where people will look to other sites, I am even given a lower price VRBO to book over there instead.
If the stock ever rallies back to the 200-day SMA, I’ll seriously consider shorting it. The way they’re treating their supply side feels unsustainable.
