The fund seeks to provide high monthly cash flow, capital growth potential, and tax-efficient distributions. It actively manages a broad portfolio of common and preferred securities issued by dividend-paying Canadian companies of any size with above-average dividend yields and/or dividend growth potential. The fund also invests in real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other income trusts that have the ability to maintain and grow distributions while keeping sufficient cash flow for organic growth opportunities. The selection process is primarily based on fundamental research, with consideration to quantitative, technical, and material ESG factors. The fund may invest up to 35% of its net assets in foreign securities and up to 10% in high-yield corporate debt. In addition, the fund may engage in securities lending and use derivatives such as options, futures, and swaps for hedging purposes, as a substitute for direct investment, or to generate income.
