The fund seeks to: (i) provide capital appreciation while mitigating downside risk, and (ii) generate a high level of dividend income. This is done through a combination of long emerging market equities and options strategies. The long-term target allocation for long equities will be approximately at least 70% and the options strategy will make up the remaining portfolio exposure. A multi-factor model is employed in security selection. First, eligible securities from the investable universe are assessed and ranked based on key factors. The fund adviser then selects the highest-ranking securities using a proprietary composite score. The options strategy, on the other hand, consists of selling cash covered put options and selling call options on regional ETFs and single name equities with high rankings from the fund advisors quantitative screens. Portfolio holdings are reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly.
