XAUUSD Short: Selling the Bounce Within the Descending ChannelHello, traders! The price action for Gold (XAUUSD) has been dominated by a bearish structure since the breakout below the ascending channel and rejection from the SUPPLY ZONE 2 near 4250. This move initiated a clear downtrend, forming a descending channel that has guided the market lower through a sequence of impulsive declines and short corrective rebounds.
Currently, the price is testing the Demand Line of this descending channel, located just above the Demand Zone around 3867. This zone represents a key area of potential buying interest that previously acted as a reaction point during earlier phases of the uptrend. In my view, the market is now entering a critical stage. A temporary corrective rally towards the upper boundary of the channel (near the Supply Zone 1 at 3950–4100) is likely before sellers may step in again to resume the broader downtrend.
My scenario anticipates that this corrective bounce will be limited, with sellers defending the Supply Zone 1, leading to another move downward toward the Demand Zone and potentially lower levels. A confirmed reversal signal in this area, however, could offer a long opportunity for a larger bullish impulse later on. Manage your risk!
GOLD 4H CHART ROUTE MAP UPDATE & TRADING PLAN FOR THE WEEKHey Everyone,
Please see our updated 4h chart levels and targets for the coming week.
We are seeing price play between two weighted levels with a gap above at 4173 and a gap below at 4079. We will need to see ema5 cross and lock on either weighted level to determine the next range.
We will see levels tested side by side until one of the weighted levels break and lock to confirm direction for the next range.
We will keep the above in mind when taking buys from dips. Our updated levels and weighted levels will allow us to track the movement down and then catch bounces up.
We will continue to buy dips using our support levels taking 20 to 40 pips. As stated before each of our level structures give 20 to 40 pip bounces, which is enough for a nice entry and exit. If you back test the levels we shared every week for the past 24 months, you can see how effectively they were used to trade with or against short/mid term swings and trends.
The swing range give bigger bounces then our weighted levels that's the difference between weighted levels and swing ranges.

Why Traders Get Wiped Out in the First 30 MinutesIf you’ve been trading Forex for a while, you’ve probably heard this saying:
___“Don’t jump into a trade right when the London session opens.”
And that advice is absolutely true.
The first 30 minutes of the London session are where most retail traders get burned out.
Not because they’re unlucky - but because that’s how the market works.
1. London Open: Liquidity Surges – Chaos Begins
When London opens , the Asian session is winding down.
This overlap creates a burst of liquidity , leading to sharp volatility.
Banks, hedge funds, and institutions begin positioning their orders.
Dozens of pending orders are triggered at once.
The result?
Price moves like a wild beast - violent spikes, fake breakouts, and sudden reversals.
Retail traders see the strong moves, get excited, jump in…
and get wiped out before the real trend even starts.
2. The Trap Called “Early Breakout”
One of the classic London session traps is the false breakout.
You see price breaking a key level, think: “That’s it! A clear signal!”, and you enter.
But minutes later, the market reverses — and your trade vanishes with it.
This isn’t random.
Smart money players intentionally create these fake breakouts to trigger the crowd’s orders — buys above resistance, sells below support — then reverse to accumulate positions at better prices.
An old trick, but still brutally effective — and every morning, retail traders keep falling for it.
3. FOMO – The Silent Account Killer
Nothing messes with a trader’s mind like seeing a massive candle explode right after the open.
You feel like you’re missing the move of the day.
That’s when FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) takes control — and discipline disappears.
But here’s the truth:
The first 30 minutes aren’t for making money — they’re for reading the market.
Professional traders don’t chase candles; they wait and watch to see which side truly dominates.
Retail traders, on the other hand, trade on emotion — and the market always punishes emotion.
4. So, What Should You Do?
Simple: Do nothing.
Let the chaos settle.
Watch who takes control — the buyers or the sellers.
Wait for the post-fakeout structure to form — that’s where the real opportunities appear.
Many professional traders use what’s called the “London Fakeout Strategy.”
They don’t fight the fakeout — they wait for the reaction after the fakeout to trade with the real direction of the market.
Because the real edge isn’t in prediction — it’s in patience.

Lingrid | GOLD Weekly Price Analysis: Parabolic Pause or Peak?OANDA:XAUUSD experienced significant turbulence this week, initially pushing higher before encountering firm resistance and subsequently breaking down sharply toward the critical $4,000 psychological support level. This aggressive pullback, fueled by rising volume, signals a potential exhaustion of the parabolic rally seen in recent weeks. A move toward $3,900 is not a collapse, but a necessary, healthy correction — allowing momentum to reset and positioning the market for a sustainable next leg higher.
The 4H chart shows that after an explosive run into the all-time high zone near $4,380, price met fierce resistance. The subsequent drop formed a textbook corrective channel, confirming the market’s need to digest gains. What we should watch most closely? The upward trendline remains intact, acting as a dynamic support level. As long as price holds above this upward trendline and the broader upward channel, the primary uptrend remains alive. A break below $3,900 would be a red flag; a bounce from there could ignite a powerful retest of the ATH zone.
Zooming into the 1H chart, we see the formation of a classic double top pattern at the resistance area, followed by a decisive breakdown. This bearish signal was quickly countered by a strong rebound, now forming an ascending triangle. This pattern is inherently bullish — it represents consolidation before a breakout. The key trigger? A decisive close above the triangle’s upper resistance line would confirm the continuation of the bullish trend and likely propel gold toward new highs, targeting the $4,400 level.
In essence, gold is not broken — it’s breathing. The market is resetting its momentum, and the technical structure still favors the bulls. We should watch the $3,900 - $4,000 support and the ascending triangle breakout like a hawk. The next move could be explosive.

The Yo-Yo Market: Gold Swings Wildly but Goes NowhereRecently, Gold’s volatility has been extreme — with over 1,000+ pip swings up and down. Yet, despite all the loud noise , if we look closer, nothing truly significant has happened since the drop from the 4400 zone to below 4,000.
For most retail traders using stop losses, this type of environment has been extremely challenging — whipsaws in both directions.
However, if we step back and filter out the noise, a clearer structure begins to appear:

🔍 Key Observations
1. Normal Correction Behavior
The sharp drop from the all-time high actually stopped right at the previous ATH from early October — a very common technical behavior, where price retraces into prior calendar-based resistance zones.
2. Below 4K, But Not Broken
Although Gold is currently trading below 4,000, the move under that level is not yet a confirmed breakdown.
3. Strong Rebounds from 3920
Yesterday, price bounced aggressively from the 3920 zone, and this exact reaction repeated twice overnight — showing that buyers are still defending this area.
4. Correction Within the Golden Zone
Despite the dramatic fall, the current retracement sits just above the 61.8% Fibonacci level of the strong bullish leg from late August — technically, a textbook “golden zone” correction.

🎯 Trading Outlook
If we connect all the dots, Gold appears to be finishing a much-needed correction rather than starting a downtrend.
• Short term:
Resistance is found around 3975–3980. A clean break above could open the way to 4030.
• Medium term:
If Gold manages to stabilize above 4,000, the next upside targets are 4050, and possibly 4150 as we move into November.
________________________________________
⚖️ Final Thoughts
Yes, volatility is high — but beneath the surface, Gold is simply completing a natural corrective phase.
As long as 3900-3920 zone holds, the medium-term focus shifts back toward 4150.

THE KOG REPORTTHE KOG REPORT:
In last week’s KOG Report we said we would be looking at two levels as potential for the long trades and target for the short trades. We ideally wanted price to push upside and complete the long target before turning and then completing the short target. During the early part of the week, we activated short and gave caution on longs only to see the aggressive decline which hit our short target and completed our bias level and red box targets for the week.
All in all, a decent week in Camelot with Excalibur guiding and the EA hitting another full house of completed targets on Gold.
So, what can we expect in the week ahead?
We're pondering on this bearish move and it’s giving us hints of a swing low so for that reason we’ve given the red box bias level at 4095 which will need to break for us to see a continuation of the move. Above there, we have immediate support at 4104 which if held can give us another bounce in the early sessions giving us a move upside into the 4140-50 regions initially.
Above that level there is a level sticking out sitting at 4173 with the extension level 4192 which if targeted is the level to keep an eye on for us. A break above there and it’s likely we will attempt to swing high from a lot higher up which we will need to navigate level to level. But a RIP there would be ideal if it happens with a clean reversal.
On the flip, we do want to see lower pricing on gold as we feel it’s not only needed, but it will give buyers better opportunities to get in for better positioning to carry trades upside into the higher target levels we have active. As we approach the end of the month, it's going to be another whipsaw and we would hope to complete the move, or, we'll most likely see some sideways accumulation leading into the next week.
KOG’s bias for the week:
Bullish above 4095 with the ideal target 4274
Bearish below 4095 with the ideal target 4025
RED BOX TARGETS:
Break above 4115 for 4123, 4125 and 4140 in extension of the move
Break below 4095 for 4080, 4065 and 4050 in extension of the move

XAUUSD major pump not finished yet Gold has initiated a short-term corrective phase, with technical indicators suggesting potential for further downside in the immediate term. However, this near-term weakness does not alter our constructive long-term fundamental and technical outlook.
The broader macroeconomic backdrop, including factors such as central bank demand, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical uncertainty, continues to support a structurally bullish thesis for the asset.
Based on this macro-technical analysis, we project a sustained upward trajectory over the coming months. The primary long-term target remains the $5,000 per ounce level, which we view as a feasible objective within the current global economic cycle.

GOLD ANALYSIS (1 W)To understand the psychology in Gold,
I use only two tools:
Fibonacci retracement,
Trend-based Fibonacci extension.
We will use these two tools to measure the weekly cycles.
Since November 2022, Gold has been forming a pattern that can only be explained by Fibonacci principles.
Using Fibonacci retracement for each swing high and low, you'll realize that each retracement equals around 50%.
In only one example, we see that a higher low reaches the 61.8% level, which is also acceptable.
After these retracements, the next leg of the impulsive move always reaches around the 1.618 Fibonacci extension.
According to these two basic technical factors, Gold should first reach around $3,800, and then aim for the $6,600 level during the next impulsive leg in the coming years.
I’m not even going to list all the reasons why Gold tends to go up over time.
Most people reading this analysis are already aware of the fundamentals behind Gold’s long-term bullish nature.
Thanks for reading.
Gold downtrend, accumulation below 4000⭐️GOLDEN INFORMATION:
Gold (XAU/USD) picks up modestly in Tuesday’s Asian session, rebounding from a two-week low near $3,972. A softer US Dollar, pressured by expectations of two more Fed rate cuts this year, supports the non-yielding metal. Ongoing geopolitical tensions from the Russia-Ukraine conflict also add to its safe-haven appeal.

XAUUSD Breaks Out and Continues Its Bullish RallyOANDA:XAUUSD The market is still in a strong downtrend, yet the bearish momentum is gradually losing strength as a double bottom pattern begins to form, a classic signal that sellers are running out of steam.
After the second bottom took shape, buyers stepped in with growing confidence, and the price is now testing the neckline, confirming a structural shift toward a potential bullish reversal.
At this point, all eyes are fixed on the neckline. If a breakout above this level occurs, it will confirm the pattern and open the path for buyers to push the price higher toward 4,135.
Gold Breakout and Potential RetraceHey Traders, in today's trading session we are monitoring XAUUSD for a selling opportunity around 4,060 zone, Gold was trading in an uptrend and successfully managed to break it out. Currently is in a correction phase in which it is approaching the retrace area at 4,060 support and resistance area.
Trade safe, Joe.
Release the Pressure: Why Relaxed Traders Win MoreOne of the most overlooked psychological factors in trading is pressure — the silent force that makes you enter trades too early, exit too late, and misread what’s actually happening on the chart.
The truth is simple:
When you relax, you trade better.
The Illusion of “Always Doing Something”
Many traders feel that if they’re not in a trade, they’re missing out.
The market becomes a constant test of patience — and silence between trades feels unbearable.
That’s when poor decisions appear: forced entries, revenge trades, and overtrading to “feel productive.”
But the market doesn’t reward effort; it rewards timing.
Trading well often looks like doing nothing most of the time.
You wait, you observe, and you strike when the setup aligns.
This is where the relaxed mindset beats the pressured mindset every single time.
Example: Gold (XAUUSD) Between 3960 and 4030
Let’s take gold as an example.
As explained in my recent analysis, we have two clear levels to watch — 3960 and 4030.
Price is currently trading in between.
Even though it may look like it’s pressing upward and could form an ascending triangle, clarity only comes with a real breakout, not with anticipation.
A pressured trader will often feel the urge to predict — to “get in early” before confirmation.
But the calm trader simply waits.
They know that between levels, price action is noise, not opportunity.
And when clarity comes — either through a clean breakout or a rejection — the decision is obvious and stress-free.
This is what “releasing the pressure” looks like in practice:
You don’t force a trade. You let the market reveal the next step.
Why Pressure Kills Performance
Pressure doesn’t just come from the charts — it comes from expectations.
The trader who needs to make x$ per day will subconsciously search for confirmation that a trade exists.
Charts suddenly look clearer than they actually are.
Bias replaces logic.
And objectivity, which is the foundation of good trading, fades away.
In reality, the more you need to make money from trading, the harder it becomes to do so.
That’s not because the market is cruel — it’s because the human brain under stress stops processing probabilities correctly.
The Paradox of Ease
Every trader eventually experiences this paradox:
The less you try to “make something happen,” the more naturally good trades appear.
This isn’t mystical — it’s psychological.
When the mind is calm, your ability to notice quality setups improves dramatically.
You stop trying to control the market and start aligning with it.
It’s the difference between chasing a wave and surfing one.
Creating Space to Breathe
The professional approach to trading is not about constant activity — it’s about creating the conditions where clarity thrives.
That means reducing pressure in three ways:
1. Detach from daily profit goals.
The market doesn’t care about your personal targets. Focus on setups, not outcomes.
2. Allow financial breathing room.
When your rent, bills, and daily life depend on your next trade, emotional clarity disappears.
Build a secondary income or savings buffer — not for luxury, but for mental freedom.
3 . Redefine success.
A good trading day is not one with profit — it’s one with discipline.
When you measure success by process, not by dollars, you take power back from the market.
Final Thought
Most traders lose not because they lack skill, but because they trade under pressure.
The weight of expectation distorts perception, and the market punishes impatience.
Release the pressure — mentally, financially, and emotionally.
When you do, trading starts to flow the way it was meant to:
Quietly, naturally, profitably.
GOLD → A psychologically important level of $4,000 lies aheadFX:XAUUSD continues to correct, unable to consolidate above $4,100, with the 4K mark ahead. Pressure is intensifying due to hopes for a trade deal between the US and China, as well as profit-taking ahead of the Fed's decision on interest rates...
Key factors:
Progress in trade negotiations: the US has withdrawn the threat of 100% tariffs, and China may support the situation. Thursday's meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping increases the chances of a deal.
Bets on two rate cuts in 2024 are almost fully priced in. US inflation (3% y/y) was lower than forecast (3.1%), but did not change expectations.
The correction may continue if the positive backdrop for the trade deal remains. The Fed's decision on Wednesday will be a key catalyst.
Technically, the 4K zone is ahead, and it is too early to talk about a break of this support, as we do not know how the market will react. However, at the moment, the price is in the range of 4000-4163, and from a technical analysis point of view, it is logical to consider a false breakdown and a pullback.
Support levels: 4000, 3975, 3944
Resistance levels: 4060, 4090, 4163
As part of the decline, the market may test one of the specified zones: 4000, 3975, 3944. However, since a liquidity pool has formed below 4K, the reaction to the psychological support level may be aggressive. It is important to monitor the situation, as closing below 4K and consolidating below a strong level could trigger a further decline. Otherwise, if the bulls manage to hold their ground above 4K and bring the price back above 4050, the market may have a chance to grow.
Best regards, R. Linda!

Hellena | GOLD (4H): LONG to resistance area 4219.Colleagues, I am not abandoning the idea that the upward movement is not over yet.
It seems that the correction in wave “4” is very long and I think that it may continue to the support area 3807 and there is an important nuance - it is quite difficult to label all this movement as wave “C”, because it contradicts some rules of wave construction, but there are exceptions and I tend to interpret the downward movement in this way.
There is one more option, which does not contradict the rules and it is a “shortened wave ”5" at 4377, and then (ABC) looks more adequate, but I will not display this option. In both cases, I expect a resumption of the move to at least the 4219 area.
Fundamental context
Against the current macro backdrop, gold remains well-supported: the U.S. dollar is under pressure, and bond yields continue to decline after recent weaker economic data. This environment sustains demand for safe-haven assets.
Short-term pullbacks and profit-taking after record highs appear natural — overall interest in gold stays strong, particularly amid expectations of further Fed policy easing.

XAUUSD Forming Ascending TringleXAUUSD has recently completed a breakout from a long-term ascending triangle, showing strong bullish momentum that pushed prices above the key resistance area near 2,400, turning it into a solid support zone. After reaching a new high near the 4,300 level, gold has started a corrective phase, which appears to be a healthy retracement within the broader bullish trend. The market structure remains positive as long as price stays above the 3,900–3,950 demand zone, where fresh buying interest is expected to emerge. This correction could be the final consolidation phase before the next bullish wave targeting the 4,500–4,700 levels in the coming weeks.
From a fundamental perspective, gold remains supported by global macro uncertainty and central bank demand. Weakening U.S. dollar sentiment, persistent geopolitical tensions, and increasing speculation that the Federal Reserve may initiate rate cuts in early 2026 continue to fuel investor interest in safe-haven assets like gold. In addition, strong accumulation from emerging market central banks and inflation concerns sustain the bullish outlook for precious metals.
Technically, as long as XAUUSD holds above 3,900, the bias stays strongly bullish. Traders are watching for a potential retest of broken resistance turned support before continuation higher. A clear bullish rejection from these levels would confirm renewed momentum toward new record highs, offering a favorable risk-to-reward setup for long-term buyers.
