Kroger still has that $35 Threshold to PassFirst off, please don't take anything I say seriously or as financial advice. As always, this is on an opinion based basis. Last time I was WRONG. I was predicting Kroger was going to peak at $35, and it peaked at $34.50. Sorry, if you made $0.50 less as a turnover :). I became way better recently getting closer to these targets with confidence intervals, sine waves, resistance lines, and even looking at bollinger bands and/or moving averages. That being said, the real point of this post is that it looks like Kroger still has that $35 price point threshold it needs to pass. I am bullish on it for a low risk strategy.
The Grocery Stores Are Essentials! What I see...

+ Further support by the 10MA
+ Decreasing vol. as price consolidates side way
- Failed Head and Shoulder
- Resistance level at 36
- Failed breakout in previous attempts
What I setup...
+ Long entry above neck-line
- Stop underneath last week's channel
+ Target at $36 - Resistance level in late 2016
Trade Journal: Long $KR - 4/23/2020KR has been consolidating sideways for the last 2 weeks and is a relative strength name in this current market. This trade triggered above 32.65 and I took this trade last Thursday. Interestingly, KR also has a great entry opportunity on Friday when it retested the breakout area perfectly and raised near HOD at the close.
Entry - 32.69
Stop Loss - 31.95
Target - 35
Kroger: $35 Short Target CallFirst off, please don't take what I say seriously or at face value, as always, it is all on opinion basis. That being said, let me get into my insights. I believe, realistically that Kroger is a conservative low risk stock hold position, and that a $35 price target is imminent. The supply and demand curve these days for grocery shopping is seemingly spiking, and the buy support has been strong.
Kroger Co. at Supreme ValueThe Kroger Family of Companies recently provided new career opportunities to 23,500 workers nationwide, with an additional 20,000 planned in the next several weeks to ensure supplies are available to communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Kroger's top priority continues to be uplifting our associates and serving our communities, whether that's by ensuring customers always can find food and products on our shelves or by providing a nearly immediate job opportunity to help an unemployed person to begin working again," said Tim Massa, Kroger's senior vice president and chief people officer. "During this time of uncertainty, Kroger is committed to remaining a constant. We have a responsibility to our associates, customers and communities, and we will continue to be here…for any need."
Furthermore, Sysco and Kroger Co. announced on Friday they had entered a temporary agreement during these unprecedented times. This agreement will create excellent work opportunities and help alleviate the tension in the food supply chain.
This decisive action comes after nearly 3.3 million people filed for jobless aid and therefore boosting investor and consumer confidence as we progress throughout uncertain times.
The remarkably stable conditions relative to the market combined with the recent pullback phase enables market participants to enter a stable investment at supreme value.
I've identified suitable investment levels based on the weekly time-horizon; this enables KR enough breathing room to navigate any unexpected volatility.
Entry Placement: $32.71 / Stop-Loss Placement: $27.33 / Take-Profit Placement: $40.78
$KR Buy The Dip$KR continues to be a favorite of ours. We nailed the last dip for a trade and think the same is going to play out again for $KR. $KR also counts $BRK.B as a shareholder. It's also a safe bet as consumers still need to stock up on food as the coronavirus isn't going away anytime soon.
As always, trade with caution and good luck to all!
