Dah Sing Banking Group Ltd. is a banking investment holding company, which engages in the provision of banking and financial services. It operates through the following segments: Personal Banking, Commercial Banking, Treasury, Overseas Banking, and Others. The Personal Banking segment comprises of the acceptance of deposits from individual customers and the extension of residential mortgage lending, personal loans, overdraft and credit card services, and the provision of insurance sales and investment services. The Commercial Banking segment accepts deposits from and the advance of loans and working capital finance to commercial, industrial and institutional customers, and the provision of trade financing. The Treasury segment provides foreign exchange services and centralized cash management for accepting deposits and lending, interest rate risk management, management of investment in securities. The Overseas Banking segment comprises of personal banking, commercial banking business activities provided by overseas subsidiaries in Macau and China. The Others segment includes corporate investments and debt funding. The company was founded on March 11, 2004 and is headquartered in Hong Kong.
