You think: “Okay, worst case scenario? Kids will always like cartoons.” “Best case? I’m funding my own EPCOT retirement.”
Fast-forward to today.
Disney now owns:
Star Wars
Marvel
Half of your childhood
And somehow still not your portfolio
They release:
More movies than Netflix
Spin-offs of spin-offs
A cinematic universe so large it needs its own org chart
They build theme parks where:
You pay $300 to enter
Another $25 to skip lines
Another $40 to emotionally recover
And yet…
Your stock is worth less than it was in 2015.
You check the chart. Why line no go up?
Meanwhile, the market goes:
“Cool story, Mickey. Where’s your AI?”
Moral of the story:
Owning every beloved franchise on Earth is nice. But unless Iron Man can run an LLM, the stock stays flat.
