The fund is passively managed to provide exposure to stocks from anywhere in the world that are engaged in metals and materials. Using FactSets RBICS, the fund selects companies identified as mining and mineral products, coal and uranium mining, and diversified specialty/performance chemicals makers. At any time, the fund manager can write covered call options at its discretion on not more than 33% of its securities, depending on market volatility and other factors. The fund uses a sampling method in tracking the index, which means it will invest in a sample of securities that collectively have an investment profile similar to that of the underlying index. The index is and reviewed quarterly, assigning equal weights for each eligible security.
