The fund is an actively managed fund that seeks stable monthly distributions, capital appreciation, and reduced volatility by investing in a concentrated portfolio of 15 to 30 global, large-cap health care companies that exhibit both value and growth characteristics. Companies that meet the funds market-cap criterion are further evaluated based on the following metrics: valuation, growth prospects, profitability, liquidity, balance sheet strength and dividend yield. In addition, the fund may invest up to 25% in other health care-related companies that meet their size requirement. Call options are then written at the fund managers discretion in order to generate additional returns and to achieve lower overall portfolio volatility. The fund is an unhedged version of HIG that trades in USD.
