The fund is passively managed to broadly invest in Canadian stocks that is weighted towards companies with perceived positive ESG qualities. The fund considers stocks from the broader index, the S&P/TSX Composite Index, which is composed of companies of various capitalization that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The fund excludes companies based on involvement in specific business activities, ESG controversies, and low performance against the principles of the UN Global Compact and S&P DJI ESG Scores. The highest-ranked companies are selected for the portfolio. The S&P DJI ESG Score for each company is used to overweight or underweight stocks within each sector group, aiming to be as close to 75% as possible compared to the broader indexs industry weights. The index is rebalanced annually after the close of the last business day of April.
