The fund actively manages an array of ultra-short-term CAD-denominated bonds including corporate, government, provincial and municipal bonds. The fund holds investment grade corporate bond but may add high yield bonds, all with remaining maturities of one year or less. In addition, the fund invests in in floating rate instruments such as floating-rate preferred shares, subject to the rate reset date being no greater than one year and the term being no greater than five years. The portfolio manager rebalances the portfolio accordingly using fundamental analysis, relative strength indicators, and risk adjusted yield expectations.
